Really, really hope Denver draws Phoenix in the first round. They give Denver fits for whatever reason.

yeah, even if they still make the finals it would be good if a couple teams can give them a tough, grueling series. the celtics give themselves a couple of those every year it seems.

He's not impacting winning at all, but he's probably helping out some fantasy owners down the stretch.

I mean, the first game they had in Phoenix without Murray Denver actually won a close game, and neither Booker nor Beal played that game either.

The second game in Denver they were fully healthy and still lost, even with no Booker for Phoenix. And last night in Denver there was no Murray, but also no Nurkic. And both games won were in Denver.

I think between what we’ve seen this year and last year with Phoenix being the only challenge given to the Nuggets throughout the playoffs, there’s clearly something there. Not exactly sure what “that” is other than a commitment to and real chance of just purely out-scoring the Nuggets, but I do think a fully healthy (questionable, I know) Suns team could push the Nuggets in a series.

In fairness, if you had to put together a team that did nothing but score under the current cap rules & contract conditions, Phoenix's roster wouldn't be a bad attempt.

My read on Banton while he was here was that, strangely, he'd be a better feature guy than a roleplayer.  His "fit in" skills are iffy at best, but he actually has some ability with the ball in his hands and can catch a rhythm with increased minutes/role.  That isn't necessarily a good thing for his career, as players of his talent level NEED to be role players rather than bargain bin star-facsimiles. 

Just a thought I've had that seems relevant, given his recent box scores (caveat:  haven't actually watched him play in Portland, so I may be way off).  Cool to see him find some success though.  Seemed like he did it the right way while he was here and I hope he gets himself paid as a result.

Mitchell Robinson back in action for the Knicks. Good for them to have him back for the playoffs. NY should keep Hartenstein as the starter. They have a nice rhythm with him.

But the Celtics losing back to back games to the Hawks is a cause for concern.

Yeah the Celtics dropped from the 1 seed to the 1 seed.

I don't really care about the losses. Every team has that 1 or 2 teams during the regular season that give them fits. Hell, people were discussing the Suns doing that to the Nuggets just yesterday. And it's a long season. 2 straight bad games is nothing. If it grows to like 4-5+ then yeah you can get more worried. People were saying the cliff is falling after that bad Lakers loss and then they went like 20-3 since or something.

A lot's gonna be determined in the playoffs anyways. I mean if the C's blew out the Hawks the last two games I'm pretty sure people would be saying the same anyways.

The only concerning thing with these 2 losses is Boston might very well play the Hawks in the 1st round and now I'm not as sure it will be a 4 or 5 game series like it needs to be.

I’d welcome playing the Hawks over getting the sixers with Embiid or the Heat right out of the gate.
