Watched my URI Rams in their season opener and the season opener to the season tonight (will be watching a replay of tonight's C's game tomorrow) saw the same thing from the past 4-5 years.

No transition defense and defense all together basically.  Awful rebounding, got outrebounded by about 13 and we were not able to take care of the ball at all!

Still we had Pitt on the rope for most of the game until the middle of the second half and there is a long long time left in the season to improve on these weaknesses.

I am just dissapointed that year after year these weakenesses stay with the team and our offensive game is why we always come close to making it to the NCAA tournament, but are a NIT team.  Maybe the players will step up and have a new effort on defense.  Or maybe if that doesn't happen and it is just another year of almost making it, but not quite it is time for a change in the coaching department.  I'm hoping it is the former and not the latter.

At least my favorite NBA team knows how to defend  ;D.

Great game between Kentucky and UNC on right now ... the Tar Heels more formidable than Kentucky expected, I think.

Nice win by Carolina!  Good to see them playing up to potential for once.

Now I just need Cuse to take out NC State and the day will be complete.

What is it with them and big white guys named Tyler?  It's like it was some kind of weird mojo thing they were worried about: "OK, now Hansbrough's gone, we've gotta go out and find a clone!" ;)

U.Mass - BC was nice game.  Love watching U. Mass dribble drive motions offense...and they press man to man full court.  Kellogg just needs a little more talent.  Jackson is a big time player for BC.  Horrible turnout by BC fans though....biggest bunch of front running fans this side of New York.

Wait 'til Jordan Laguerre goes to UMASS next year, he'll fit perfect in their offense. Smooth lefty combo guard who's explosive and can shoot the lights out and create his own shot. He's a stud, if he was 6' 5" he'd be a legit NBA prospect. He's out of Manchester, NH and goes to New Hampton Prep, previously going to Trinity High in Manchester. His junior year he was the best player in nh public highschool. In the state championship his junior year(two years ago) he scored 26 points...the other team only scored 25 points. I played in the same AAU tournament as he did this spring, didn't play him because he was on a u17 team and mine was u15.

Zeller was actually there for Hansborough's last year, though he was hurt for a lot of it with a broken wrist.

So it's more of an apprenticeship than a replacement system  :)

Ya should be a good one.  BC is in a fun transition year right now.  Shoot alot of threes, we can beat anybody, but we can lose to anybody too.  Don't know to much about URI this year, but if Raji can rebound the basketball, and Trapani doesnt shoot to much it should be a good matchup
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Yeah idk that much about BC's roster this year, especially with Sanders (from my home state) transfering.

Rhody this year is in sort of a rebuilding year this season, but they still got time to grow and mature.

I'll be at the game so I'm hoping the homecourt advantage can help and finally have a good crowd at the Ryan Center for once.

Tons of conference upsets today.  Great way to start the conference season.

I think will see tons of the teams beating up on each other in the big conferences throughout the season.

TP, hadn't heard.  Duke got a great draw last year and they're not as good as their early play.  Glad to see them go down so early.
