Great overall team effort. Not sure anyone played poorly. Sadly the officials we're poor or else the Celtics win by 25-30 points.
Tatum turned the ball over and played hero-ball too much. He has to improve his defense too.

He's just 20 years old.

But for a 20-year old, Tatum is already way ahead of the learning curve.

Exactly. It's not ripping Tatum. It's expecting more of him because he's head and shoulders better than your average 20 year old.

Too bad he's going to be the new face of the Pelicans.

I'm going to miss him, but Anthony Davis in green is a dream come true.

He should.

Celts are giving him 28m per year.

What's even better and will extend Horford's career is the addition of Anthony Davis.
AD and Horford together with Kyrie, Celts will win more than one championship, that's for sure.

Celtics won the game and the boards 47-41 and the assists 32-19 and the free throws even with intentional fouls by the Pistons was 34- 15...

8 assists each for Hayward and AL!

when did Maker get traded to Detroit?

At the deadline!

what did they get?
Stanley Johnson

thanks

Which ended up being a 3 team deal with Stanley Johnson getting sent to New Orleans along with Jason Smith and 4 second rounders from Milwaukee for Mirotic.

Milwaukee is going to be a huge test next week. Would be HUGE if we could get the win.

Gonna need Kyrie at full health which is why I wish he wouldn't attend the stupid All-Star game.

Celts face both Toronto and Milwaukee, on the road, in the next 2 weeks.

If Celts can get one out of two, it will be a huge boost for the Celts in the standings.

Wow. That second half was the longest, most atrocious half of basketball I've ever seen.

Also, noticed a bad habit with Tatum. He clearly lost focus after the Celts built up a 28 point lead (we know what happened the last time the Celts had a 28 pt lead.)

He needs to work on that and/or someone pull him aside and advise him to correct that, asap.

Pretty sure that’s why Brad yanked him because he switched off. And when Brown came back he was switched off too...Smart had to yell at him after he turned the ball over by not catching an easy pass.

I must say though, I won't be happy if Kyrie plays the All-Star game after missing the last 2 games. I just think that looks bad. Especially when we have a a couple of big games following the All-Star break in Milwaukee and then Toronto the following week.

Good win on the second half of a back-to-back.  Played an intense game last night, were short-handed tonight.  Still got it done.  That’s commendable.

I can generally forgive the sloppy play down the stretch.  Thought they ran out of gas a little bit, mentally as much as physically.  Fortunately the Pistons were already too far behind.

Week off now.  Go get healthy and finish the season strong.

Glad we hung on but those turnovers in 4th were inexcusable.

Offense flows the best when ball is in the hands of Horford and Hayward. Wish all of our offensive sets could start with one of them two.

The schedule will get tough after ASB.

9 of their next 11 games:
@MIL, @TOR, POR, WAS, HOU, @GSW, @SAC, @LAL, vs SAC

Hard to see them win in Milwaukee and Toronto after their upgraded rosters in midseason. I want them to clean sweep the west-coast trip tho.

Let’s hope they don’t relegate him to his stand-in-a-corner role when everyone is healthy.
