No one wants to take it to the basket just stand around the 3 point line and jack up 3’s. Over 100 3 point attempts in 2 games? Really??? What a joke what the hell is Stevens doing? Why have a coach? Every night they other team shoots a ton more free throws because the Celts don’t force the issue on offense. 25 for the Pacers and 9 for the Celts. Indy actually came into the game averaging the least amount of attempts per game but shot 16 more than the Celtics tonight. If the Celtics played more aggressive they would have shot more free throws tonight and this game wouldn’t have come down to the final possession. They keep playing soft and they will keep losing games that they shouldn’t. Stevens needs to clean this crap up.

A celtics loss and out come the over reaction threads.  ::)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Agreed, Stevens needs to do a better job. This team should be creating miss matches across the board but instead bail teams out by jacking up 3’s.

Marcus is going to prove once again - soon - why he was a Smart choice for Danny to sign.

Not giving up on him or this team after one frustrating loss.

We lost the battle tonight but will win the war in June.

Like I said in another thread, we might as well just skip watching any games until June, then we can watch them win another banner without going through all the ups and downs of the regular season.

Smart was a plus 12.

I am beginning to think Morris should start over Hayward.

I'd rather Morris start over Brown

Sounds good.

Brown has 12 points, 7 rebounds, 0 assists, and 0 steals in 31 minutes.

Who does he think he is? Mark Blount?

How the **** is everyone saying Jaylen should be benched? He's defending better than any wing we have rn and it isn't his fault that he's being treated like a 5th fiddle on offense, dude can score (look up at his 2 Celtic playoff record games against the Bucks). If anything Hayward should be our sixth man.

His defence has been good, but Bojan was still able to drop 16 on him. Not exactly impressive.

It's his fault that he's shooting below 40% from the field and below 35% from deep however (both career lows). Even his free throw shooting is a career low, as it has continually gotten worse the longer he's been in the league. He's also the worst passer and ball-handler in the starting lineup.
Hayward on the other hand has been our second best shooter from deep, and starting him alongside Morris would allow Tatum to play to his strengths, which is guarding smaller wings.

Well he wasn't exclusively guarding Bojan, so idk if you could assign all the blame to him for Bojan scoring 16 (iirc it isn't way above his PPG). As for the offense it's hard to get your rhythm when you're isolated in the corner for long periods of time, then you suddenly catch the ball and are expected to go score a bucket for the team. I think Hayward on the bench would provide the second unit much needed offense while he gets more reps to shake off his rust as a primary ballhandler. Jaylen starting would provide the Celtics more defense, which they're lacking a bit and would also allow Kyrie to guard the weaker backcourt player on the floor (Oladipo absolutely cooked Kyrie lol). Tatum would also be allowed to guard smaller wings as Morris/Baynes would move him back to SF.
