Through 7 games, Mook is averaging 14.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game on a scorching .601 eFG%. He won't maintain this shooting but he averaged 13.6 and 5.4 in 54 games last season and these numbers aren't too far off.

If he can keep up something like 14 and 6 for one of the top teams in the NBA (and play more than 70 games) Morris should be in the conversation for 6th Man.

Yeah, for sure. No better respect than Stevens putting him in to close out games over Smart and a starter (looks like Hayward). By the way, love that Stevens does that. He puts the best players on the floor for the situation regardless of contract or hurt feelings. I’m sure Smart isn’t happy about losing his last 5 minutes slot. But Morris has been shooting lights out in clutch situations this year.

If Philly is dumb enough to keep reddick on the bench behind fultz all year he will also be a contender. It would be really cool if Morris could win it, especially given how unclear his role was coming in.

He's also asked to cover centers, at times.  Super-tough, no-nonsense.

Mentioned this in the game thread last night. His shooting percentages will probably regress to the mean but if he still puts up career high percentages and continues his consistent scoring, rebounding and defense, I think he definitely stands a very good chance.

Just like the Rondo/Crowder trade, I never would have imagined the Bradley/Morris trade would work out so well for the C's.

In both trades, it seemed like the C's were giving up the better player, but the player the C's received outperformed the player they gave up, while on a better contract, and while seemingly being a better overall fit for the team.

If Morris were to win SMOY, wow, just another footnote in the legend of Danny.

On the downside, he's playing himself right out Boston with his good play.  What's Morris going to get offered as a free agent next year?

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

More than the Celtics will be willing to pay to keep him.

Probably something in the neighborhood of Evan Turner money, I would think.

17 and 5 in 24 big minutes against the Bucks last night. 5/8 from three.

He's on fire.

Marcus has been terrific, and one of the most pleasant surprises has been his shot selection. He's doing a great job at walking the line between creating his own shot when we need it and forcing his shot when we don't.  He and Al are the most consistent Celtics so far.

Physically when I watch the games he looks different. He looks a lot thinner. I am caught sometimes wondering who it is running down the court until I catch the jersey number. He looks the best I've ever seen him look.

His shot selection has been the most impressive thing for me. Can’t say the same for some other players in our bench *cough* Rozier *cough*

Saw a few good passes too.

Mook is starting to give up the ball on far more plays than he did last year.  If he does that consistently, he will be an even more dangerous Player.

His shot selection and his passing show me he’s  buying in  and maturing.

That says it all.

Morris is playing and looking like a starter.

Celtics needed a tough, veteran forward off the bench...they got him.
