Title: Thibodeau on the Rivers path
Post by: konkmv on September 22, 2018, 08:16:46 AM
Not every assistant can be a great coach... not every coach can fit in every team...
But the sure thing is no coach should be a president or manager at the same time..
Sometimes a team must rebuild and there are not many succesfull coaches who accept that..
Tom with the butler case you will be fired soon.. as a president or from both roles.
No team should lose a star without getting back something...
And the wolves must choose a different path without butler. And the real problem is that you haven't really inspired wiggins or towns and obviously they are not getting better with your coaching
Like rivers you aimed too high and did not succeed

Yeah. He’s a good coach. That shouldn’t really qualify someone to be a good gm too.

You're assuming that the owner has no say in this. You know, since he has this easy going reputation...

Same with Budenholzer while he was with the Hawks, with the rumored tension in the locker room after the trade deadline

The president-coach did not want to trade him but the owner forces the deal...
