Smart with 4 missed free throws and Kemba with 2 on a 3 pnt attempt. And thats the difference.

Smart's 4 missed free throws in the fourth look really bad now

That's why I keep emphasizing FT shooting.

A lot of big games have won and lost at the FT line.

Looks like USA's E-team isn't good enough for a medal in WC.
Are you surprised?

Not really a good idea by Brown to challenge Gobert when the game is on the line.

Gobert ended up blocking Jaylen's shot.

Well they were missed by guys you didn't harp on. I know Brown's percentages look bad but he doesn't miss in the clutch.

I am. They should ROFLstomp this competition regardless.

Just terrible offense for the last 6 minutes by USA. The ball isn't moving. They keep trying to attack Gobert and keep struggling to do so.

Mitchell and Kemba got trigger happy. It didn't help that both Kemba and Smart missed crucial FTs.

Ya but he was the one who got that possession by forcing the jump ball and USA possession, and its not like anybody ese on the team was able to get anything going either. Mitchell challenged Gobert the same way a few possesions earlier and got blocked and Kemba was garbage.

Trying to look at silver linings: At least everyone will come back healthy for the season. And with some time to rest before Oct. 1st.

Edit: Apparently there's a losers bracket. Great.

Well, Walker and Mitchell both did the same thing multiple times late in the fourth. The problem was the whole USA offense that decided to funnel everything into Gobert.

Doesn't make the past 20 years any less of an embarrassment for the US when they failed to win gold.

Did Poirier play, and if so, how did he look?
