My early picks hope

14 - Bol Bol

20- Eric Paschall

22- Jontay Porter

51 - Josh Reaves
Please no Bol Bol..just dont see him as a NBA player..7-3 and thin plus foot issues already
he has  porzingis potential. And he has a nice handle

I guarantee danny won't allow bol to drop past lottery
After doing a bit of a deep dive on Bol Bol I don’t want him anywhere near this team.

He has no pride and no heart.
would you please provide some links, articles, quotes, evidence so as to move this from being simple conjecture to an informed opinion. thank you.
agree. From what I've read on Bol, he's very passionate about basketball as he's been around it all his life as a small kid. He lives and breathe basketball

-Eric Paschall highlights - Poor man Draymond Green but with better leaping ability
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFJsV3RYokw

-Jontay Porter highlights -  like another bol bol - injury concerns. But talented big man
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AECUHKkWrXk&t=128s

- Josh Reaves - one of the top defensive guards this past season
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB9GqryVjkA

Paschall is only 6-6...

so is Draymond Green

Yeah, I guess so, I thought Green was taller. Draymond has a couple of inches on him in wingspan but they are really close.... Paschall outside shot looks better than Green's shot but I'm not so sure about the passing...

won't be easy to even draft a role player off the bench past lotto picks

I think Paschall  (even though a senior) has the body, maturity, nba skills to be able to help right away.  I also like PJ Washington.

either + Semi, could help makeup the loss of Morris (don't think he will be resigned)

Here you guys go

https://www.thestepien.com/bol-bol/:
Quote
- Lack of strength, skinny frame, unlikely to ever put on much weight. Already some issues in getting low post position and taking advantage of size. How will that work vs NBA defenders?
- Poor upper body strength, gets dislodged, forced to take awkward leaners, bounces off defenders. Guys go right through him inside.
Quote
- Too laid back and quiet of a personality. Does he have “killer instinct”? Doesn’t really take over games in the way you’d expect from a player of his talents. Mostly contributes within flow.
- Questionable effort at times, doesn’t get back in transition, not a very high motor on rebounds, doesn’t go after loose balls, rarely sprints or fights for position.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKwqoV-Y4WU
^ good video that talks quite a lot about his weaknesses ^

https://www.masslive.com/hoophallclassic/2018/01/bol_bol_scouting_5-star_center.html:
Quote
Bol's motor is his most well-known weakness, and you could see why the complaints exist on Sunday. While he seems more than happy to run back on offense, Bol doesn't always get back on defense.
The above shows that it's been a question of his since high school.

http://www.nbadraftroom.com/2016/03/bol-bol.html:
Quote
His defensive awareness can be lacking at times and his top effort isn't always there.

Does he have the will to be great and a real love of the game? He'll have to play with more fire and intensity to reach his full potential.

https://www.nbadraft.net/players/bol-bol:
Quote
High school reputation draws into question his team focus and attitude ... Unwillingness to apply himself in interviews while in HS calls into question his focus and desire to apply himself at the highest level

I think all of this shows that he has a pretty long history of not having a good motor. From watching tape you can see that he doesn't really get bothered when people score on him, which is something that bothers me a lot. He doesn't run well in transition defensively, and once he's beaten he doesn't make a very good effort to get back in the play, which would be easy considering his physical tools.

Also, he's incredibly light (208lbs) and suffered a bad injury, especially for someone that tall. Pass.

Interested in what you think of Grant Williams from Tennessee. He's similar to Paschall in that he's a strong bodied swing, but he's a bit taller (6'7" in shoes) and he has a 6'10" wingspan, weighing in at 240lbs. He's a good defender, can score in the low and high post, can pass and can shoot the 3. I reckon he could be an immediate impact player.

Another Tennessee guy I like is Jordan Bone. Physical freak of a guard. https://twitter.com/LouisWBIR/status/1129149415221018624

Thoughts on picking Tacko Fall with our second round pick? He just broke McHale's wingspan record I think.

If he can learn to shoot free throws he's golden ;D

Although I feel like the defensive 3 seconds rule might significantly hinder his game

I'm sure he can dunk standing outside the key. :D

I think seeing him try the under-armed free throw with his ridiculous wingspan would be fun

Williams isn't much of a 3 pt shooter. Most of what he made were totally open, with plenty of time to shoot. IOW, shots he won't get in the league. He's also not athletic enough to defend anyone on the perimeter. He is exactly what he looks to be, a very good, but undersized, post player. I don't see him being much more than an end of bencher, but I hope he surprises me.

Bone is a super athlete. Elite quickness and handle, but he's never been anything more than a streaky shooter. Still, where you'd take him, every player will have flaws.

Thanks to all for this killah research!

Bol looks like a possibility, but,

A) Won't some dork GM gamble on him before #14?
B) You can't just say "gain 40 lbs and get mean" at a guy.
C) He played nine games in college...ummm...that was one more than eight? He's not tired, we know that.

I think Ainge should just pick Rudy Gobert...Oh wait a minute, wrong year, sorry.

I think Ainge should get on the Euro train this draft.

Bitadze might be worth a a shot, he's clunky, but, clunky guys need a job too. His highlights reveal that he can easily outplay smallish, untalented euro guys. Rudy Gobert highlights years ago were against those same small, untalented euro guys and look at him now.

Bruno Fernando (6'10" 234 - 7'4" wing 16.3 ppg 12.8 reb - 21 years) out of Maryland is fine. Athletic/bouncy like Williams and, in his favor, he played a really tough schedule for the Terrapins. I mean he wasn't just playing against guys who were smaller than him all the time.  Soft hands around the rim shot 72% from the line.

The buzz kill for this "draft party" is Brad " you rooks gonna get no minutes from me" Stevens.

There is a guy we have a shot at.
He is 6'10" 240 lbs....he shot 70% from the field and 60% from the line. He averaged 4 blocks and 9 rebs per 36 minutes. Rough around the edges, but, a prospect worth studying. Robert Williams got 280 minutes this season. 90% of it GT (garbage time). When the Celtics draft a big this year? He will be fighting with Williams for the eight freaking minutes per game Stevens has for rookie bigs.

My draft prediction revision #2

14 - Bol Bol

20 - PJ Washington

22 - Jalen Lecque

Lecque reminds me of a similar situation - Avery Bradley pre draft.  I think Danny takes the risk on the "high school" player that could be a future top 10 pick
