  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Kimmel is no Stephen Colbert, but he did alright. Obama sounds like he did well too.

One of my favorite authors, Ray Bradbury, died last month.  A lot of people are familiar with things like Fahrenheit 451 and the Martian Chronicles, but if you haven't read it, do yourself a favor and pick up Dandelion Wine.  One of the best, most poignant books I've ever read.

Just finished reading:

Liminal States by Zack Parsons.  Really interesting book - it has three parts, the first is a Western, the second a pulp 50s detective novel, and the third a sci-fi/horror format.  The uniting thread is the story of two men who find a pool of strange water that makes them immortal - each time they die they pop back out of the pool, good as new.

Parsons is a pretty well-known Internet writer as well - Here's a pretty good example of his work.  It's a cross between HP Lovecraft, Oz (the prison show), and Craigslist.  Well worth a few minutes.

unreal. Absolutely unreal. Basically a couple private pilots were flying around but Obama decided to take Air Force 1 to some fundraisers, so naturally they intercepted the pilots with fighter jets. Naturally.

Brilliant book.  It gets a bit technical in places, but it's remarkable to see a summary of all the great people and tremendous medical advances that have been thrown at the brick wall of this incredible disease and only managed to knock off a chip or two at a time.  But those chips have added up...

Apparently Detroit really is the worst city in America.

Also I'm reading 50 Shades of Grey, but I can't say you should read it
