Just another little trade idea based on seeing an article that said the Bulls were looking to trade Valentine. The salaries work and it gives us a vet and a ball handler, passer, shooter off of the bench.

Valentine is shooting 38.4% from 3 this year and 37% for his career, which are above the NBA average. Still would rather get Burks from GSW

Why isn't Chicago playing him more?

I agree that there are better players that I'd like to get but it might be based more on who we can get.

Valentine would be good off the bench for the Celtics,   i like it.    But would the Bulls do it for Poirier?   not for sure,    they can probably get a better offer from someone else...

Maybe with a second round pick attached?

I really think we need a couple of little trades to add some shooters to the bench.

Last year their were complaints that Valentine didn't want to play defense or do anything that he wouldn't get statistical credit for.  I haven't heard anything this year but I assume that's still an issue.

No, but I don't think he's quit ready for this year. We need some shooting vets coming off of our bench.

Reggie Bullock looks great against the Heat today. Bullock trade also works with Poirier.

I'd rather just cut Poirier save the 2nd round pick and sign Jamal Crawford
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Always liked him. Think he showed what he’s capable of in Detroit - would happily take a flyer.
