The Heat, as someone mentioned, keep finding players out of thin air.  Plus drafting well, and recent trade for Butler.

They are stacked and will be a major challenge for the C's given their size.  They are always good defensively and now have the personnel to make life miserable for opponents.  And now they are a deep team as well.  The main strength, like the C's, is the wings.

Bigs:  Bam, J. Johnson, Leonard, Kelly O.

Wings:  Butler, Herro, Winslow (found his game...plays some pg), Duncan Robinson (never heard of him but he hit 7 threes last game).

Smalls:  Dragic, Nunn, (with Winslow and Butler as frequent distributors.)  They should add another pure backup PG I would think, as Dragic has dealt with a lot of injuries.  And Nunn is young.

Waiters?

3 of their wins have come against very lowly sides (Atlanta without Trae Young & Memphis), and Houston are pretty lousy so far too. I think we need to see a bit more from them before declaring them an East contender.

Match-ups with Denver, LAL, the 76ers, Toronto and us all over the next month or so should give us an indication of where they really stand. Their depth is not impressive at all.

I'm happy to see Adebayo having taken the next step (really good passing so far). Was a fan of his, and wanted us to somehow get him coming out of college.

Celts have more talent than the Heat.

I mean the Heat a #2 or #3 team in the east?
Just means the eastern conference is really weak this season.

We also need to see the Pacers play with Oladipo back. If that Brogdon-Dipo backcourt works they're better than Miami

Dipo has been gone a long time.

Even if he returns, for sure he'll not be at a 100%.

Still better than Lamb, McDermott and Holiday. Two of those guys (likely the latter two) should not get minutes on a solid team. Plus Warren's deep ball should start falling

I don't think they're as good as Philly and their ceiling is lower than Milwaukee, but I agree that they're very good.

I also have the Heat as a top 4 team in the East.
They look well-coached, well-led, deep, motivated and working towards the same goal.
They have many ballhandlers and enough shooting at all 5 positions.
They also have wings that can defend big wings, something that just a few teams in the league have.

They look dangerous.

Nunnsanity really ruined my predictions regarding the Heat, I rated them as a cut below teams like the Celtics/Pacers.

And 2 of our wins are against the lowly Knicks, one of which was by a buzzer beater...

You cannot judge them by wins against your so called lowly teams.. Just admit that they are much better team now than they were a year ago.. I bet they'd beat us atleast once or could be twice if we meet them.

We've also beat double the amount of Eastern Conference Finalists that they have. And I'm also not sure that we're as good as anyone in the East - yet. I don't think the Heat have the potential to come out of the East, whereas I think we, Philly and Milwaukee all do.

They're obviously a better team than last year. They added a multiple time All-Star and have seen improvements from their young guys. But if you think Kendrick Nunn is going to average 20PPG, or that Duncan Robinson is one of the best shooters in the league, then sure, go ahead and think that they're on our level.

Also, we have actual games coming up against them, so there's no need to postulate - we will have evidence in a month.

I think they have a very nice start but it doesn't make them East contender, maybe they'll outplay and dominate their tier of teams as Brooklyn, Orlando, Detroit. Maybe they will catch us or the raptors and finish third. But it's stilla aybe. And I really Don't see them as a playoff kind of team.

Spolstra is a very good coach and Something is longly and solidly built on this team. But the -too- high performances of guys like Nunn, Herro and now Robinson might make us overestimate a little their capacity on long term. Their roster looks maybe a little as the last year of Butler on Chicago with good role player around Butler; but Nothing enough solid to pass semi finals Conference.

Because Butler is a prima donna malcontent.
