Tis the summer of extensions.

That feels like an over pay.

Wow, Gordon Hayward just retired.  I thought he might ring chase on a minimum.  I hoped the C's might have landed him somehow for a run.  Would have been great bench depth!

I wonder if his agent is going to come out and deny that he's retiring and say he hasn't made a decision yet, then admit it in a few hours when Gordon puts out a Player's Tribune article
I'm bitter.

I?m not sure that?s true. He basically averaged 20/6/4 his first year in Charlotte. Did have a lot of nagging injuries, though.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I doubt ring chasing was worth it to Gordon. He made $33 million last year, and signs with someone for $5 million to be a bit player? Guy like that would rather stay with his family in whatever climate he chooses.

Gordon Haward Retires

It was a legitimately exciting time leading up to his debut.  The Celts were loaded up with talent and ready to roll.  We know the rest.  The guy was never the same after.  He had a nice career, but was never able to take the next step to greatness.  He did madmakee a crap ton of money!  Enjoy retirement Gordon.
Yup

I would have liked to have had Hayward off the bench for this next year.

That leg injury ended his career.

But before that scary injury, Hayward was never an injury-prone back in the Utah days. Of course playing for the Celtics some guys get snakebitten by injuries throughout their careers ugh lol.

I expect that Smart is a starter with Bane at SF or third guard, whatever you want to call it.  Or maybe Edey doesn't start, JJackson is one big and GJackson is the other.
