Fenerbache issued a statement Sunday in regards to some comments that were made by Enes Kanter last month and were repeated today. The Boston Celtics center mentioned he would like to play for Fenerbahce if he was to return to Turkey, though the club took a strong stance against him.

This looks blatantly like the team is protecting itself from any repercussions from Erdogan by creating distance between themselves and Kanter.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Enes must be a lonely man, even other Turkish NBA players are avoiding him it seems.  Not to mention his own family has basically been forced to disown him or face certain imprisonment/death.

I don't envy Enes, but I do certainly respect him.

Yep, gotta respect a guy who stands up for what’s right even when he can face serious repercussions for it.

Definitely admire him. Though he’s goofy, he is a good man
