Cool, ya'll can calm down with the "Lillard > Kyrie" thing now.
Yeah we'll calm down believing that statement, at least Lillard got his team to the CF.

Draymond without Durant plays like Rozier without Kyrie.

Turns out, you really only need 3 All-NBA level players to sweep your way to the Finals.

So, for once I think Broussard is right. This is such a terrible look for KD and probably makes it even more likely that he bolts this summer. That a KD-less Warriors team can sweep the WCF highlights just how weak of a move Durant going to GS was. Durant is ultimately superfluous on this Warriors team, and his fragile ego is not going to like all the talk that comes after this series.

Yep it looks like KD didn’t help them win championships...they helped him win them

Warriors fans be like "Well we needed Durant in last year's WCF against Houston!"

Did that clown Charles Barkeley actually went full Paul Pierce and said earlier "The Warriors are not going to beat Houston and Portland without Kevin Durant"

I mean him knowing when to take a backseat to CJ is already more than what Kyrie did lol.

He didn't really do that though did he. He had one good series (like Kyrie) then he shot terribly and lost them games singlehandedly.
.407% from the field against Denver on 20.7FGA a game. .288% from deep. He didn't even shoot very well from the FT line - under 80%.
Then he only shows up for 2 games in the biggest series of his life. Shot badly again on a high number of shot attempts, and didn't do a good job adjusting to GSW's scheme. He should've deferred to McCollum earlier in the game today when he had Curry on him, but he didn't.

I like Dame, but he's getting far less criticism for two pretty equally bad series to Kyrie

Who is our McCollum? I don't think there's a single player on this roster (other than Irving) that can (consistently) take over games like that
I'm bitter.

Mmhmm. Add the fact that Dame bombed in the playoffs last year as well (16.5 pts on 35% FG and 30% from 3 in a first round sweep where he was dominated by Rondo). 1 bad playoff run is an anamoly. 2 is the beginning of a pattern. Yet he still gets revered around here, it just confirms the Kyrie bias.

This is all evidence that Playoff Rondo is who we actually need ;D

Wait you think that Lillard is a bad playoff performer? He has two shots to clinch playoff series and his overall counting stats are good.

He definitely gets worse in the playoffs, 111 ORTG compared to 116 ORTG in the regular season, and can get worn down. But did you watch the games? They're trapping him and attacking him to get the ball out of his hands. Portland doesn't have a good answer to this action with Nurkic being injured.

Context is everything, Lillard is a great player but he's not immune to a good defensive scheme to force the ball out of his hands. That's one of the limitations of being a small guard. He needs to work on being better off the ball.

You also need the play styles of said All-NBA level players to mesh.

I don't think that he's a bad playoff performer at all. I think that the threat of his offence also allows his teammates to get some more space and freedom.

But I think his failings in the playoffs are overlooked by lots here, when Kyrie shared many of the same and got lambasted.
