The percentage of Jayson Tatum's shots that come within 3 feet of the rim has declined every year since he's been in the NBA.

Tatum’s career average is 24.7%…right now he's at 17.4%

Blake Griffin considered signing with the Boston Celtics last season. He reached out to a friend on the team, but his friend warned him to stay away because the Celtics’ chemistry on and off the floor had deteriorated so badly.

So the other Kardashian boy toy Tristan Thompson, I am guessing.

This was who I first thought of. Nobody else I can see on our team being friends with Blake.

Particularly funny given TT was the biggest locker-room cancer on the roster last season.

Somehow the Celtics have to give up less points.
Energy, effort, skill, or scheme.
We don't have  the shooters to win games in the 120's consistently.

I would suggest it requires our best players to put a bigger emphasis on D, even at the expense of O.
Theoretically we have the personnel.

Defense is effort and has to be played as a team. It can't be 5 guys pulling in different directions.

Interesting statistic, unfortunately I couldn’t find any references if this is based over their career, or purely this season.

Don't look up Smart's clutch stats this year.  His 3P% is frightening.

I won’t look it up, but I’m guessing single digits

You won’t fall for my clickbait?  But no, above the single digits.

The actual answer is 50%.

I'm stressed enough as is without putting myself through looking at our clutch shooting stats!

That's somewhat surprising ;)

Jayson Tatum/Jaylen Brown

Team record, last 2 years (58 games), the J's both played in the same regular season game, when they were the Celtics leading scorer

Jayson - (15-16, .484)
Jaylen -  (11-12, .478)
Others - (4-0, 1.000)

No offense, but I don’t think that tells us much of anything.  The Celtics record when one of their top two scorers is the leading scorer is similar to their record overall.  Make sense as that’s a common occurrence, so you’d expect the records to be similar.  And if you get 25-30 points from another player who doesn’t normally deliver that, sure, you’d hope you win that game because you’ve got extra points coming from somewhere.

He was 0-2 with 2 turnovers in the last 5 minutes vs the Bucks today.
