Patriots suspend Michael Bennett for one week, a loss of $275,000 for actions detrimental to the team.

Fauria on WEEI, who has been in Belichick's locker room for years, says Bennett couldn't have just cussed out a coach or missed meetings to get suspended. He said players have done that stuff in the past and all it costs them is playing time the next game. But the players never get suspended and lose a payday. This is quite different.

Gotta be right? He is a hands on the ground lineman and Bill has been going with his front seven guys in standing and moving positions before the snap, so Bennett has been getting less and less snaps.

WEEI were speculating maybe moving him in a trade for Danny Amendola. That's interesting, though Amendola always seemed to get banged up a lot but, he is someone that could be plugged in right away without the need to learn the system.

In news from last night's Kansas City game, Patrick Mahomes went down with a dislocated kneecap. He is out a minimum of three weeks, possibly more depending on today's  MRI.

And Denver still couldn't do anything. Flacco really is horrible.

In fairness to Flacco, it’s hard to throw when you’re flat on your back.

So now there's just a better chance we see Mahomes and the Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round instead of the AFC Championship.

Three weeks seems a little light for a dislocated kneecap - that does not sound fun at all!

Sucks seeing Mahomes go down.  One of the most exciting players in the game.  Just glad its not a season ender.   AFC West is flailing enough where they should still win the division.  Question will be if they get one of the byes.   Golden opportunity here for Houston.

True, but I've never been impressed with him. IMO, he was never better than a second-tier QB, and he's probably not even that good anymore.

Wow that was some major ownage by the Pats. Darnold had a horrific game, said he was "seeing ghosts" out there. He wasn't seeing ghosts - he was seeing The Boogeymen!

Offense is still pretty awful. Lots of dropped balls though...

It's one thing to see ghosts.  It's another to throw the ball right at them.   ;D

Tough when your highlight is a well batted ball to save 4 points.
