They usually go for long established stars in the olympics. However I think with coach K being coach he has a lot of pull and influence. I expect tatum to squeeze in the olympics squad

Yes I think he will make the team. He's a good shooter, plays good defense, and has good size to play the 4 in Olympic ball.

Also if you make the all-star team you are getting established yourself.

I expect he will.  At least a couple of the members of the World Cup team will make it, because USA basketball doesn’t want stars skipping out on that and only playing in the Olympics.  In addition, there is value in terms of long-run team-building to giving a spot or two to younger players, so that they have Olympic experience when it’s their turn to be the leaders of future teams.

Ehhh if Michael Redd and Tayshaun Prince from 2008 and Kyle Lowry from 2016 made it, pretty sure Jayson Tatum makes it.

Just depends on whether he wants to participate or not

Seeing how much Melo crushed Olympic competition, I can imagine Tatum doing the same. Similar measurables, and similar shooting skills (Tatum better from 3, Melo better from mid)
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)
