Amazing for Houston = Horford big upgrade over Capela

Terrible for Boston = Capela big downgrade vs Horford

Terrible for LAL = Eric Gordon is mediocre. Borderline starter. Bench player really. LAL lose cap space and high draft pick (superior trading asset).

Bad for ATL = not enough difference in talent available between #4 and #8 & #10 to justify giving up two picks to move higher up. Better to keep the two picks.

I agree Horford is better then Capela, the trade is 100% contingent on Horford wanting to go to a contender if the Cs are not keeping Irving and landing AD.

For LA, Gordon is in the last year of his deal and will not affect their cap space next season. Looking at last years roster Gordon would be their 2nd best player. Even after trading for Gordon they would still be able to sign another MAX FA then create a max slot the following year for FA AD.

As for ATL, they have long been rumored be looking to move up. Having just traded for #17 they would still have two first this year.
