Considering VP is basically our 4th string C when healthy, I think it's an alright position to be in.

Theis v Kanter is a tough debate though. I think it should be matchup dependent

great win.  only real downside was Poirier looked like a wasted roster spot

I’m not expecting more than third string big from VP - his ceiling. In fairness he’s been out for weeks so his timing isn’t going to be anywhere right now.

He's our 5th or 6th string big depending on how you classify Semi, it's hard to complain about someone that should never have to play meaningful minutes (unless they're making a lot)
I'm bitter.

Poirier is bad

Just in general

Why did Danny see in him?

Size, primarily. The willingness to play in the NBA for peanuts with a chance of being a legit player and no real downside as well.

Tough to have a good player accept a role as a 4th string Center

Basically this. Also seems like a good locker guy. Its a low risk option.

Definitely. His game doesn't look super diverse, but he is great at what he does. If he can expand on it, he could be very good

Luckily he's got a couple of great young role models

he's showing he was a quality pick by Danny - not the bust proclaimed by those whining about him not being an all-star by now.

People are being hard on Poirier. I don't think he is a world beater and I would prefer the roster spot be used on somebody else, but in watching his clips from France, I can see why he might be an appealing option. He is big and is able to run the PnR (and finish with force). This game just appears too fast for him right now, but that often happens with bigs new to the NBA.

Also, short minutes for Langford, but I have been a fan since day 1. I am hoping he will get more of an opportunity and take over Wanamaker's role at some point. I suppose I hoped the same thing for Edwards - and he certainly has time - but GWill and Langford appear to be the definite keepers of the rookies so far.

I have not proclaimed Romeo a bust . I have criticized Danny’s drafting.. but man Romeo had 2 min tonight with all his stats at 0... how do you come to these conclusions so fast?
