I don't think it's fair to hold everyone to the standard of the '86 Celtics. They had 3 of the best players ever and their court vision + passing acumen as a roster was basically unparalleled (the early aughts Kings probably come the closest to that). That's kind of like saying you hate dating normal people because you had a, uh, formative experience with a supermodel.

I don't know what gamse you're watching but the Spurs, Warriors, and Hawks played some beautiful ball last year (and the Spurs for a long time now) and I'd even throw the Celtics into that conversation during their stretch after the all star break.

Not every team plays like that but not every team played like the 1986 Celtics back then, either.

Yeah, the Spurs in the 12-13 and 13-14 seasons when they made the finals...I'm not going to say they were better passers than the 86 Celtics, but I can guarantee they could put together a highlight reel that looks equally impressive.
