The Celtics have been exploring a variety of contract terms with second-round pick Carsen Edwards, Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe tweets. The negotiations with the Purdue guard include guaranteed amounts.

Best case 1 year guaranteed + multiple team options? More likely 2+ guaranteed years judging by how other early 2nd round contracts look lately.

Demetrius Jackson's second year partial guarantee was stretched.

He's not just on the roster, he's going to be in the rotation.

He seems to grasp the moment , no fear of contact , no hesitation.  All good mental assets .

I wish he had a little more of Larkins point skills ,  but the guy has IT4 scoring attitude .

Maybe he can become a better facilitator

Not being a 1st round pick and Kemba being here think he wants the standard years for 2nd round guys so he can hit FA faster.

I’m positive. Does a lot of little things, like throwing ahead on the break. Some very pretty cross-court passes right on the numbers.

Good lower body, stays in front. Really like the aggressive defense.

No wonder people here think he’s a gunner, but Austin Ainge sounded like they wanted him firing away.
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

I hope he gets good money and Stevens HAS to play him.

It will be so cool to have a scorer off the bench.

Tonight he was cold early, but, he just went inside a couple of times and got some buckets in the second half.

He's got a backbone too, not afraid. He's going to be in the middle of a ton of crazy fast transition plays. The PG thing is interesting for him, that Waters kid has the PG thing.

Am I the only one not especially impressed by Edwards?  I mean, he’s taking a lot of long, contested three pointers early in the shot clock. I know he’s hitting some of them but pretty much any nba player can get those shots.

Dude better be a steph curry type shooter to justify taking this kinda of shots.

I’ve seen about 70% of the two games (before I got bored) and I’m not sure I’ve seen him drive once.  Pull up threes is about it.

So yeah, I’m not terribly impressed.

He drove twice the last game and today

Are you really watching the games?

Also ...  so what if he shoots more. If I could shoot like him I would also

Tacko is a novelty act.  He's years away from being as polished as Boban, and Boban can only play 10-15 mpg.
