Magic Johnson has stepped down from President of Basketball Ops of the Lakers.

Was it him or Luke? And this is a big blow, imo, to the Lakers' FA hopes.

Wow, quite a bombshell.

I can't imagine this helps their chances in getting a free agent.

The franchise is clearly in disarray.

Glad Lebron went there. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy (not like he cares either way. He's already made his billions.)

LeBron costs another coach/GM/President to lose their job. LeBron is batting 1.000 when it comes to getting his way when it comes to who he wants coaching him and who he wants to be putting a team around him.

Expect Walton to be losing his job fairly soon. A new decision maker will want to keep LeBron happy after all.

A coach is one thing, but I can't imagine Lebron has anything to do with a president of basketball ops stepping down.

Magic clearly realized how inept he was at his job (and took the Lakers money with him.)

I wonder if this means Jeannie Buss is cleaning house and might even trade Lebron

This sounds the opposite of Lebron running a franchise and getting coaches fired like he did in Cleveland.

I feel a bit sorry for Walton.

He seemed to be doing a good job developing his youngsters and getting them to play hard, but then LeBron and his goons come to town and he said sucked into this clown show
