So looking like the Celtics are still winning that trade, right?  ;D

Except the part where the C's had to trade away BKN 2018 to Cleveland for Kyrie Irving, in which Kyrie Irving made his way to Brooklyn eventually.

An actual rare positive thread about the Celtics on CS even though they are one of the best teams in the NBA.

Its pretty funny reading that thread. The rxns go from "This is horrible" to "Okay I get it" to "This could be fantastic" as the details of the trade come out, it wasn't clear it was going to be 3 picks and two swaps  until after the deal had been discussed for  while.

James Young and the 2018 pick didn't work out in the end, but that trade both ended the Big 3 era and led to the Brown and Tatum era.

TP for that trip down memory lane..at least my last post in that discussion was we might be pleasantly surprised in the future but I was way off on Nets making finals and beating Doc! Lol...way off! Also funny I said is 3 years of Wallace worth 3 first round picks! Haha...7 years of Wallace would have been worth those picks although I did not know at time they would be unprotected. 😁that discussion was epic though..Woj knew it could bite Nets in the future and it happened almost instantly.

While brief, the trade exception from Paul Pierce brought us a 1st round pick that we sent away for IT.  So it brought us the IT era and then the Brown-Tatum era.

I was wanting Danny to go in this direction for over a year. Glad he did. Neither player will be mistaken for Larry at anytime,  but they remind me just a little of the young Bird/Max forward combo who led us to the 1981 title.

Just think if Danny would have traded Irving at the  deadline last season for a premier post player, where we would be now.

There was no such player available, considering Kyrie was an expiring. Plus, such a deal likely would have complicated our ability to sign Walker.

why are we still adding negatives to the bkn trade, next it will be a strike if Tatum retires at 33?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

A premier post player?  Do those exist anymore?
