you know what i find funny about phil jackson's gripes? I did not see him get that animated during the game. Granted i was watching on tv, and perhaps it was not shown, but during the game, he was not all that mad. then after the game, he looks at the stats, see some guy named powe who he apparently never heard of, dominate, and all of a sudden, he is mad.

Phil Jackson is a smart man. he knows how to use the media to push what is best for his team. this is what he has done. i am not saying he had no gripes on sunday. i think some calls did go the c's way. but when you get all over refs early, like kobe did, the refs will either kis your behind because they are intimidated, or they will go the other way and stick it to you.

the lakers got the short end of the stick sunday, but i would be shocked if it was not made up for, and then some, this evening. salvatore may simply come out wearing a kobe jersey to eliminate all doubt.

Even if there were a few bad calls they worked in your favor!

If they would not have been there then the C's would have only been up 8 points or so, then they would have actually played the 4th quarter...instead of a respectable loss the Lakers would have been run out of the gym and embarrassed.

I think the refs were trying to give the Lakers and excuse, you should be thanking them.

That is the most pathetic thing I've ever seen.  Whoever put that together needs a life, a shot of reality, and probably a job.  But don't worry Faker whiners, help is on the way...

Gonna be an uphill climb for the Celts, at least we won't have to deal with the pathetic Lakers fans crying tomorrow morning.  Wah wah wah.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Just for some 'closure', since the Laker fan never answered any of my 3 questions, Hollinger addresses the free throw discrepancy in the Daily Dime and finds, to no surprise, that the lakers were settling for long range 2 point shots far more often than Boston.  So, if you want to gripe about the fouls, take it up with the Lakers' jump shooters.
