I think Pats go WR, TE or OL right away today. Feel Stid needs the help. Cassel and even Brady had help when they first took over. We can't go into the season without improvement on offense, it struggled all last year.

I agree. The team needs to support Stidham with as much surrounding talent as possible. Getting Andrews back is a big boost, and hopefully Wynn stays healthy, but even then the O-line could still probably use a bit more help. Tight end is a black hole right now, and there are no deep threats at receiver—they've gotta give Stidham some decent targets to throw to.

It still keeps coming at me in waves that the Pats don't have Brady and aren't a threat to win it all.  The shift of mindset hasn't been quick for me.   I'm wondering if anyone here thinks Stidham has the tools and work ethic to be a top 10 QB down the road.  The 2001 TB wasn't anywhere great but he did  show poise, leadership, intensity, and could throw the short ball pretty darn well.

Is there any reason to think that with a great draft and maybe a couple of good trades/signings that BB and Patriot culture can sustain its winning ways through the transition?  It goes without saying that JS won't TB - ever.

But is a top 10 QB in the league in a few years reasonable to hope for?  And if he doesn't have that ceiling -- why in the world wouldn't BB be taking a shot with one of his picks today?

The giants drafted the safety that bill wanted
He gambled and lost

What a disaster this draft has been for patriots

Kyle Dugger, Safety. Never heard of him.  But what I am reading looks intriguing.  Division 2 player but stood out in Sr Bowl.   Size and strength to be LB.  Punt returner.  Versatile.  Looks like BB guy.

Really thought we might take a flyer on Delpit. Not sure why we didn’t go for Shenault though - our WR core stinks

The analysis seems a little soft years.  Sounds like every pick is a home run and that there should have been 60 guys taken in the first round.

Not sure what the Eagles are doing.  I wonder if this means they're looking to move on from Wentz.  Reaching for a QB in the 2nd round when you have a guy locked up until 2024 is odd.

Don’t know much about Uche, but he seemed to get sacks. Not many starts though

Really surprised Zach Baun is still on the board.  Some people had him ranked as 1st rd pick, and most had him as an early 2nd.

Edit: and there he goes literally minutes after I post...was hoping he might continue to fall

Josh Uche a steal and solid pick for the Patriots. Can rush the passer, and pair him with Chase Winovich they will be a dangerous pair.

I'm fine with the Uche and Dugger picks. Refills the defense with some versatile, athletic pieces. Our offense is gonna be hurting though. Think we want to go for a WR or QB here. Eason would be a nice pick if he falls to us. Tyler Johnson is also an intriguing piece.

Yeah, Dugger is a freak athlete. His combine was wild. I think him going to a D2 school led to him falling.

Definitely alright with Uche too. Both guys seem to be high-risk high-reward guys.
