Who do you have winning?  Who do you want to win?  Why?

I'm torn.  The best possible ending to this season is beating Lebron and the Lakers in the Finals, for any number of reasons.  The guy historically gave us so many problems in the playoffs; he's an epic whiner; it's the Lakers.

But, I also hate risk.  The best way to guarantee the Lakers don't win is if they don't advance to the Finals.  I can glve with losing to Jokic, and if we collapse in the ECF, I'd be fine seeing Denver win.  Not so much Lebron and the Lakers.

I want Denver to win. While I would LOVE to beat the Lakers in the finals I am gun shy about LeBrick doing what he does vs Boston. I want the Lakers out.

I do think the Lakers win in 6.

I am having the same issue you are, Roy. I think the best matchup for us is against the lakers. However, it just feels so wrong to root for the Lakers to make it to the finals. If we stink it up this series against Miami i am rooting hard for the Nuggets. If we look awesome, and win quick, I will root for a Lakers win in game 7.

One of the Celtics & Lakers is gonna screw up the dream Celtics/Lakers Finals.

Its' going to be the Lakers.  I think Nuggets take the west.

I’m rooting for Denver because I’m risk averse regarding the Lakers winning a title, but also because Jokic plays beautiful basketball and I’d like to see more of it.

Also, I think Denver is the better team and is finally healthy for a conference finals, and thus pulls it off.

Jokic is the most fun player to watch in this series and he's not on the Lakers. The choice is easy.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

Denver

1)  I want to see Jokic win.
2)  I just can't pick the Lakers.

I think almost all us Celtics fans think the same and its just a matter of how risky you want to be, its like a casino.

The Dream is to win vs The Lakers our banner 18
The worst would be to lose VS the Lakers followed by the Lakers getting there banner 18 vs The Heat.

The main thinking should still be that we don't want the Lakers to have more titles than us, and them to be defeated ASAP as our biggest rivals.
That being said, I was a bit torn vs GSW as I did not want to face GSW in a potential finals rematch and I actually believe we match up OK vs the Lakers, Lebron has given us many problems but many times had the better team, we have never faced AD in the playoffs but still have a feeling we usually do well against his teams, although he plays usually good. But now, i just want them to lose and Denver is pretty likeable.

First things first, beat the heat.

I think Lakers will win. I think their size and Lebron experience will be the difference. I’d prefer Denver because I think Boston matched up better with them.

This might come back to haunt me but I think The Celtics and the Nuggets destroy the Lakers and the Heat. The Lakers and Heat have both overachieved but they both almost didn't make the playoffs and they both haven't faced any teams as good and complete as the Celtics and Nuggets. I'll be really surprised if these series are competitive. The two best players left in the playoffs are Tatum and Jokic.

As I said in the other thread I belive Boston beats LA to win the title and that would be the preferred matchup. I think Boston beats Denver, but Jokic is a bad matchup for Boston so I wouldn't want to face him.

While I get the storybook appeal of a Celtics/Lakers Finals, I just want nothing to do with legitimizing LeBron/Lakers.

Even in a world where the C's sweep and blow out the Lakers every game by 40, I think we'd still hear how the Lakers overcame so much to get there, how LeBron is the GOAT for taking a team to another Finals at age 38, how LeBron has taken his team to the Finals 10 of the last 11 times his team has made the playoffs, etc.

I want the Nuggets to blow out the Lakers just to keep us as far away from those conversations as possible.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Agreed.  Also, for the vast amount of time before the end of the conference finals and game one, how many times will we have to revisit that regular season game and the missed call on lebron?  It was a pretty egregious missed call but it happens all the time.  I've never seen the national media nor the NBA take it as personally as they seemed to take that missed call.  The clip will be played over and over again ad nauseum.
