Like it or not, there are a lot of casual fans who would be extremely confused if we abolished FG%. If people look at a player's stats and they can differentiate 3pt% and 2pt% (and FT% is we are talking TS%), then I think that is good enough. It's not like people don't know that Steph takes a lot of 3s or that Shaq is exclusively an under the basket player.
