We could have been picking in the top 5. But nooo we had to make Stevens happy. This is embarrassing!
Like last year, yeah? How's Marcus Smart working out for you, he's mashing the Cavs singlehandedly out there, isn't he?

Banks 2.0 was the wrong pick. Should have taken Randle or traded up for Exum. Both have super star ceilings. The one we are stuck with is currently getting abused by Kyrie and has the ceiling of Tony Allen and the floor of Banks.
Of course. And when the 5th pick from this season sucks, he'd be the "wrong pick" too. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Not hindsight for me. I've been telling it like it is all year that he was the wrong pick.

The sad part is that the Cavs aren't even playing all that well.
47.5% from the field. 44% from 3. All above their season averages. How are they not playing that well?

You're kind of proving the point -- the Cavs aren't executing that well or anything, they're just beasting the boards and overcoming the Celtics with 1 on 1 talent.
yes, yes, and more yes. better cav team. more talent. everything. AND LOOK AT THE SCORE IN THE THIRD QUARTER!!!

it is fun to watch this team battle and fight.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

If we had any type of answer on the boards, and an offense that wasn't IT, IT, and IT.

Alright, it's officially starting to look like the massacre I was afraid we were going to get in this series.

Hooray, we made the playoffs guys.

This is always what happens when a team with a below .500 record makes the playoffs.  Always a massacre.  Happened in 2004.  The games weren't even watchable.

Fwiw, I was fine with making the playoffs. 9th pick vs 16th pick probably will not matter.
37-45 Atlanta Hawks 2008 say hi
Tp.  Forgot they were that bad.

Yup.  The Hawks had a lot of talent on that team, though, it just hadn't matured yet.  That's how they were able to hang with the Celts.

I agree that the 9th pick vs the 16th pick probably won't make a big difference.

But this Celts team doesn't just need to add a couple more quality role players.  They need a few real talents.

I don't wish that the Celtics had tanked this season.  But they really need the kind of talent you get from top 5 picks, and I don't see how they're going to get it anytime soon.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Brad needs to go public with his officiating distaste for the Cavs' stars, even if it costs him a fine. That's the only chance of keeping this a competitive series.

Ah, refs swallowed the whistles, again. Jae Crowder was hacked.
