Or picture he played for John Wooden, or a truly great basketball Mind.

Before Nike wanted to make him MJ. Before Iverson croosed over the NBA.

When everything was simple. I think it's great that he can dribble and pass so well, but that should just add to what he really should be doing, getting dirty and tough, crashing the boards putback dunks and shotblocking.

It's like he's a way more talented A Walker. The whole time Tommy is saying "get down in the paint he's are best rebounder"

What if he practiced Karl Malones 20 feet and in game his whole life?

Lets just look at body types.

Malone was listed at 6'9" 265 and could jump over one phonebook.

Blake Predraft was 6'8.5" w.o. shoes 8'9" standing reach and 245 poundsand a 35.5 inch Max Vertical Jump

Lebron 6'7.25" w.o. shoes and 8'10.25" standing reach 260 pounds and no offical Vertical, but prob a little higher that 35.5 inches.

Wingspan favors Lebron also 7'.25" for Lebron to 6'11.25" for Blake.

I think that Lebron could be very similar to Blake if he had coaches that forced him to be a catch and finish PF rather that Magic type of player.

He's fun to watch as is, but if I coached him I would demand more James Worthy, Less A Walker.

Side note, J Green is the same height as Bron but 30 pounds lighter. But he actually can back his man down two dribbles and jump over them and hit a hook shot. Amazing huh.

Jeff Green strikes me as having the raw tools and profile (not the talent or game) of Bill Russell 60 years ago.

I believe his standing reach is well below Russell's. He's probably not as athletic either.

I used to think the same thing but he is just not a good candidate for post play.

Not everyone who is that tall and that athletic can play in the post in the NBA.

He looks uncofortable down there and frankly I see him get muscled off of his spot when he has his back to the basket.

He should definitely develop a back to the basket game but it should be a little further out.

He cant do what blake griffin does or Malone did because he doesnt really have the body or feel for inside play to do it. Blake Griffin and Malone were bulkier and knew how to use their weight with their back to the basket.

Maybe you have a point that he could have been tought this from a young age, but now he is the best small forward in the NBA.

Where would he rank among power forwards?

I agree. Maurice Lucas, Rich Kelley, Kermit Washington, Chocolate Thunder, and others would have made him road kill.

Jeff Ruland looked like Samson. Tough guy who knew how to play.

Yet if Kobe can make the post-up a huge part of his game, surely LeBron can as well.

I'm not disagreeing with you, though.  I think LeBron is best as a SF.

I don't think a ton of people who saw Magic play would agree with you.
