Jeff Green. Celtics Green. Not a tough sell.

Convincing the Miami Heat to trade away the NBA's two-time, reigning MVP on the other hand might be a little more challenging for the Boston Celtics to pull off.

I'm sorry, but I have a hard time seeing how this trade would work -- the C's would be scrambling to find a pg after giving up Rondo, plus Allen and Pierce shoot better (higher fg%) than LeBron does. Our transition game might improve, though by trading away an all-star point guard our offense might become stagnant.

I don't understand the first line of your post.  But I think the rest of your post is spot on.  Miami would be better with Rondo, Wade, Green, Bosh, etc.  than they are now.  Rondo and Green are both unselfish, excellent passers, perfect for Wade and Bosh to be surrounded by....that would be a perfect Miami storm of a team.....The Celtics would be pretty darn good too, but less likable!  Maybe the Celts would have to make Lebron the PG for the time being...he has made clear various times he respects this Celtic team, and he would be a team player with us, deferring to KG especially.....but.....it would be really weird!

In my opinion, the only way Rondo gets traded is if they get back either Deron Williams or Derrick Rose.

What I think is that that trade could land Miami a championship  quicker than the group they have now.  They need a point guard who doesn't score but knows how, where and when to distribute the ball.

Nah. That trade might improve MIA because you'd have an better overall talent at PG and SF then they do now, but the problem in Miami is SHOOTING and this trade doesn't help that.

It would absolutely help the Celtics get better. Rondo is great, and Green has been good - but Lebron is the best or second best (depending how highly you rate Dwight's improved post game) player on the planet.

TP just because you used the words "Just for fun........".

No way do they get rid of Lebron for Rondo and Green.  Even though it makes some sense on many levels, they have their "Big 3" to sell.  Now, if this was year 3 or 4 of the expirement, then...........
We all think we know more than we really do....

why, so we can have an overrated team and get bounced in the 2nd round each year? Didn't we suffer enough from 87-07?

Sorry, but I don't want to sell my soul for this clown, no matter how good he may be.

Still don't believe in Joe.

Miami wouldn't do it.  Although they would like too.

Why? Do they hate money and winning?

I know we all hate lebron but the undervaluing of him on this blog is ridiculos

i attribute it to being mostly on the personal level. i also don't like Lebron but i would have a hard time denying that he's likely the best player on the planet right now.

Is he though? With the team he's on, there is no reason why they shouldn't be running away with the EC right now.

He couldn't do it in cleveland, and he cant do it this year.
i understand the heat have holes, but the greatest player on the planet should be able to elevate those around him.

LeBron on a team with Pierce Allen and Garnett is a guaranteed championship. I hate LeBron, but he would benefit SOOOOOOO much from being with our big 3. There would be no pressure on him at all.
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Good question, but i wouldn't do it. Maybe if they accept draft picks+ Celtics dancers.

1 3rd round draft pick, 6 live grenades with the pins pulled and jose offerman for LeBron.

Not even close.  Besides the beating that Miami would take in the media, this trade isn't as close as most Celtics fans think.

I hate to admit it, but there isn't a package that the Celtics could legitimately offer to get Lebron.  And that can be said for just about any team.  Still, I wouldn't want to trade away this entire team just to get him.
