I don't think I would do this trade, but just thought it was a fair trade .

Do you think a package of Rondo ,Green + draft picks land Lebron in Boston?

for Miami

PG: Rondo
SG: Wade
SF: Green
PF: Bosh
 C: VET FA

Not sure how the roster would work out for Boston. but Ray would likely have to come off the bench. add a vet fa pg

I don't want this trade to happen because I hate Lebron so much and he isn't very clutch but he is still a top 5 player in the NBA .
Thoughts?

No.  Miami is not trading the most marketable player in the league.  Even if it makes some sense from a basketball standpoint, its not happening.

Yes, I'll do it even though I can't stand the man. It'll keep us in contention for several years to come.

I just don't think Lebron would ever get traded at this point in his career unless he went the Carmelo route. If he was trying to force his way out of town that would be a good package.

If we were trying to aggressively get Lebron I don't even think that package scrapes the surface.

Different question:  Could Green + both of our first rounders land us Rivers in 2012?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

First of all, Lebron is the anti-Celtic, and has no business in a Celtic uniform.  The threads would likely spontaneously combust if he even tried to put on the Green.

Second, in my opinion, he's forcing his way out of town with his self-centered play.  I'm surprised he wasn't traded for Deron Williams, now that we know he was available.  Perhaps he gets sent to the Hornets for CP3...whatever.

Why? Do they hate money and winning?

I know we all hate lebron but the undervaluing of him on this blog is ridiculos

I think that would be too much.. Do you think Austin would even be the top prospect in the 2012 draft?

If we were to do this. Hell, It would be the day I burn my celtic items and go back to watching bird, dj, parish, mchale, kg, allen, pierce and other vintage games and not follow the celts anymore.

He is the one person I really don't want to see as a celtic.

Jeff Green. Celtics Green. Not a tough sell.

Convincing the Miami Heat to trade away the NBA's two-time, reigning MVP on the other hand might be a little more challenging for the Boston Celtics to pull off.

I'm sorry, but I have a hard time seeing how this trade would work -- the C's would be scrambling to find a pg after giving up Rondo, plus Allen and Pierce shoot better (higher fg%) than LeBron does. Our transition game might improve, though by trading away an all-star point guard our offense might become stagnant.

There is no doubt in my mind that Ainge would be all over this deal. Lebron is the best player in basketball and will be for years to come. People are really down on him because of the last four games, but let's not kid ourselves, the season isn't over and Miami is hardly out of contention.

Yeah, some scouts are already calling him the #1 pick in the draft... Unless he tanks at Duke, I think he's sure to be top 5 pick.
