Hayward's minute restrictions obviously plays a part in that, but even so, some of the lineups we were rolling out were really bad. He's not fully back, but this game was definitely a step in the right directionthat 10-0 run killed us at the end. oh well, positives....Gordon looks faster, Uncle drew rounding into forum.Not really. Too many guys that should be secondary options taking primary shots. A lot of wild threes that were settled on. Led to long rebounds and easy breaks.

Poor minute management and substitution patterns by Brad. MM played more minutes than Hayward, mostly because he started the 3rd in place of him. He played both Smart and Rozier almost as many minutes as Brown, even though both were pretty bad tonight at least on the offensive end. Brown wasn't particularly great either, but I'd much have rather had him to close the game than Rozier.

How many rebound layups did we miss tonight? It was like watching Valencuinas vs Cleveland last year where he had like 8 attempts at a layup and missed. Danny Green & Ibaka killed us along with VanVleet. Lowry with the charge calls were BS but he got the home calls. In the long run I expect us to be much better and Ibaka cannot play better than he played tonight. They are a pretty formidable team though and far superior to Philadelphia. Now we need to focus on NY tomorrow night.

Boston left a lot of shots 5 feet from the rim short. Toronto took the game with the 11 FTs in the third. Allowed them to catch up and take the lead.

I think they came out of half time wanting it more than us. Leonard was amazing at the beginning of the second half. They clearly were sending us a message that they are tog dog in the east.
I am not worried. Because I believe Ibaka will break down as the season goes on. Also, they seemed to have adjusted to their talent quicker than we have to our returning talent. But one thing is certain, Philly is a marginal threat now compared to the Raptors. It will come down to us and TOR.
Looking through the box score, nothing jumps out too bad.. meaning the defense was probably the main reason we lost
Also, we had a worse FG % than Toronto.. Can't have smart going 1-6, rozier 2-7, and Barnes going 2-8. Kyrie with the worst +/- at -16. We had too many fouls prob due to being on road (27), slightly too many turnovers (14).
I just see this as needing more effort on defensive tuning from coaches. Defense needs to be hammered in. Clean up the fouls and turnovers a bit and we should be good
craziest thing about the Leonard trade. They got Danny Green as a throw in, and he's playing like it's 2014. Green is the perfect addition because the Raptors' have small guards who can't switch onto a guy like Tatum. Green filled a big Toronto weakness. No disrespect to DeRozan, but Green is a huge upgrade to their defense.
Toronto got two starters for one and made the bench even better by moving Anunoby and Valanciunas to the bench

Fun game to watch. At least for 3 quarters anyways. Seemed like the Cs folded in the 4th quarter. Their offensive and defensive execution was not very good. Overall, bad games by Smart and Tatum imo.
Toronto gonna be a problem with Kawhi. This would be quite the playoff series between these 2 teams if it were to happen. Think these are the 2 best teams in the East by a wide margin.
