Doubt it

lots of things will need to go right

1.  Danny tells Irving a trade is linedup for AD
2.  Then Irving signs a 1 + 1 (player option)

3. If no championship

....both could bolt, with Celtics empty handed for years to come

I don't see Irving committing to a max 5 year after this season

I totally get why Kyrie is annoyed.  Some of this stuff is insane.
Even I'm annoyed!
I'm with both of ya and others sharing this sentiment.  Very fair for an NBA professional to want to have a conversation with a friend in a hallway and not be interrogated about the potential meaning about it.  He shouldn't have to pour cold water on it.

I blame the media and the fans.  I blame the media for click baiting so many fans into thinking these kinds of stories have any actual meaning or significance to them.  I blame fans for not yet realizing the lack of any correlation behind a long history of these rumors and any future validity to them.  By the fans feeding into these stories, they are giving reason for the media to keep "reporting" on it.

Seriously if true then I’d rather just hang onto our young assets and build that way. About fed up with these short term deals. Sucks the fun out of being a fan especially when your team is good.

I think the level of success we have this year will have a big impact on signings.  If we go to the finals I think kyrie is a lock and we trade for Davis. If we bounce in the first or second round and chemistry fails the rest of the way Kyrie could turn a contract down.  Until then we watch.
