Per Woj's, Mannix's twitter.

Mannix: "Jason Kidd says assistant coach Lawrence Frank has been reassigned.  Cites 'different philosophies.'  Say's it's 'about basketball' "

 ‏@WojYahooNBA Nets recruited Frank hard to be part of Kidd's staff; paid him well. Frank could've joined Rivers' staff in LA, but stayed home in NY-area.

@WojYahooNBA Assistant coach Lawrence Frank, who Nets "reassigned," has a 6-year deal that averages over $1 million a year. Breakup had been building.

Different philosophies?

Like, Frank understands coaching basketball while Kidd does not?

What a mess.

Frank would handle some of the timeouts too.

I can imagine KG and Pierce taking Frank more seriously since they have history with Celtics. This I guess could remove ambiguity.

What happens if the Nets go on a tear similar to the one they had last year, when Avery Johnson was let go?

Do we have to admit that it was the right move?

It'll be part of it perhaps but the narrative will be a false one (I can totally see that being what the media runs with though).

This teams biggest issue has been health, overall.  Not that they've been playing well in any regard but their two best players haven't been healthy.  A lot of teams that look good right now would not if they lost their two best players obviously.

Frank would make for a great fall guy though.

He's definitely got plenty of experience when it comes to getting thrown under the bus. Best part is that this makes the second time the Nets have fired him.

I can't imagine this going particularly well with Garnett, who was supposed to team up with Frank in developing the Nets' defensive backbone.

@WojYahooNBA
Kidd lost cool w/ Frank inside a coaching staff meeting in early November, league sources say, and partnership was soon doomed to this end.

@WojYahooNBA
Around league, coaching sources insist Frank had been willing to help Kidd in any way Kidd wanted of him. "He was loyal," one source says.

---

Interesting...  Could be another nail to line up the eventual final one in Kidd's coffin if this doesn't help the team in any way.  Sounds like it was more or less his call.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Nets woes are foremost issue of Lopez being healthy

Kidd I predict will be fired Jan or Feb if things aren't on track for them to be playoff bound.

Surprised they have had problems. Kidd often spoke highly of L.Frank when Kidd played for him several years ago. I would've thought Kidd knew exactly what he was getting from Frank and that they would've had had a good relationship. Surprising.

I wonder if it was Frank who was at fault. Not buying in to what Kidd wanted. Trying to push things in a different direction.

Wow, Brooklyn's management/ownership is horrible. Where are they going to turn in a couple of months when they are still loosing and finally figure out Kidd is a horrible coach. Who's going to want to take that team on midseason?

Now if we can only get Brooklyn's management/ownership to take over the Hawks as well, we'll have a pretty good haul in the lottery. :P
