Quote from: Minnesota Star Tribune
"Craig brings tremendous energy, hard-nosed post play and depth to our roster," Minnesota vice president of basketball operations Kevin McHale said. "We look forward to continued improvement and having him as a member of our core group of players for the future."

Also, I haven't seen it mentioned here yet, that the Milwaukee Bucks, in addition to signing Tyronn Lue, have also signed Malik Allen to a two year deal worth approximately $3 million.

Quote from: The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
The seven-year veteran appeared in 73 games last season and averaged 4.6 points and 2.7 rebounds, with a 48.0 field goal percentage.

"Coach Skiles and I have a history, and we have a lot of mutual respect," the 30-year-old Allen said. "I really was happy my time there (in Chicago). He's got a great basketball mind. As far as seeing things within a game, he's one of the best."

A number of Spanish-language papers are reporting that Carlos Delfino will leave the NBA to sign with BC Khimki.

Delfino's contract with Khimki is for three years $30 million. He has an opt out clause at the end of each season.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports: restricted free agent, C.J. Miles has signed a four-year, $15 million contract with Oklahoma City. Utah will have seven days to match the offer.

Quote from: The Salt Lake Tribune
Troy Weaver, who spent four years as the Jazz's director of player personnel and head scout, left in May to become Oklahoma City's assistant general manager. Although Weaver liked Miles, Oklahoma City general manager Sam Presti was said to have driven the deal.

Even though he has played three seasons, Miles was the 14th youngest player in the NBA last season. The 21-year-old was a second-round pick by the Jazz in 2005...

...He showed flashes of his potential during a 10-game stretch starting at the end of December. With Gordan Giricek banished by Jazz coach Jerry Sloan, Miles stepped in and averaged 10.5 points on 55.6 percent shooting.

But Miles found himself the odd man out of the rotation after Kyle Korver's arrival in a trade with Philadelphia. He bounced game to game from the end of the bench to the starting lineup as an injury replacement for Brewer or Andrei Kirilenko. The Jazz and Miles also were at odds over his decision to skip the Revue both this summer and last. Miles' camp saw it as an injury risk with potentially millions at stake as a free agent; Sloan saw it as the wrong decision for a young player trying to develop. This week, Sloan described Miles as having been "way, way behind" at the start of training camp last year. Miles' representatives believed he was punished for the decision and questioned why it was being revisited months into last season.

The fourth year of the deal is a team option.

And for completion's sake, on Monday...

Ex-Golden State small forward Matt Barnes signed a one year contract with the Phoenix Suns for the veteran minimum. Thread here.

Bostjan Nachbar agreed to a three year contract with Dynamo Moscow worth $14.3 million. Nachbar has said he will keep a close eye on how the salary cap situation in the summer of 2010 will impact his prospects for returning to the NBA then. Thread here.

And seven year veteran Primoz Brezoc signed with Virtus Roma.

To keep the thread current...

The Nets introduced guard Keyon Dooling today at their practice facility in East Rutherford. The eight-year pro was acquired Monday in a trade with the Orlando Magic in exchange for cash considerations and a trade exception New Jersey acquired in last year’s Jason Kidd trade.

Dooling has averaged 6.8 points and 1.9 assists per game in his career with the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat and Orlando Magic.

The Warriors have signed Maurice Evans to a three-year, $6.4 million deal. By adding Evans, it means the Warriors will not match the three-year, $9 million contract restricted free agent Kelenna Azubuike signed with the Los Angeles Clippers last week. Evans, twenty-nine, has played five seasons in the NBA with the Orland Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings.
