Smart's out of control man. He needs to chill out and slow the pace of this game because he is point guard. That's what they are supposed to do at least. A leader doesn't just blindly flail around they take control, encourage, and then lead their team to a win.
sadly he has been. Hes been getting bailed out on a lot of calls.

People said that about Harden last year. Sadly, if it was Exum or any non-celtic doing that Smart would be getting roasted by same people and say "why doesnt he do that"

Trying to argue the leading scorer and assist man in the game is having a bad game is high comedy at this point. hahaha

James Harden has his stat line, he's an MVP candidate. Marcus Smart has this stat line, he's out of control.  ::)

Exactly. Smart has looked phenomenal imo. He's getting to the line at will which is exactly what we need from someone on our team this year. We've had nobody that can do that since Pierce.

If the refs would have called the foul on Cooley, Exum probably wouldn't have got hurt.

hood > Young

Hunter could turn out to be a bust.  Not really quick, athletic.  Thin.  Low release.

Jordan Mickey, wow

why wow? I told you folks lol

Kid has 3 blocks today.  I was expecting more

I'm not seeing it, man. The offensive game has been a pleasant surprise, but he's been basically  overpowered the entire game in his defensive rebounding/positioning. Mostly by Cooley who isn't an NBA player.
agreed.  blocks are nice but would have hoped he'd rebound better and show that he knew what the concept of boxing out was.  not seeing it.
has a nice shot but need to see a lot more from him

I'm not seeing the same thing as you.

Clearly.   Or most everyone here.
I'm not the only one criticizing his game.

You are one of 2.

Smart has 23 points, 5 Rebounds, and 8 Assists. Sorry he hasn't hit 30 yet.

Quit your irrational Smart hate.

Would you prefer he have a very inefficient 35, making lots of mistakes along the way?

Or would you prefer he have an efficient, well-rounded 15 while developing better habits and skills that will actually carry over to the league?

Call me crazy, but I would prefer the latter.

You are crazy.  Anyone who gets their panties in a bunch over a summer league game needs to get some meds.
seems like you are the one getting your panties in whatever. Relax dude.

Wow...sensitive.   Not surprising since you have been crying all over this thread.
crying over what? I'm making observations.

Yea, big difference between making observations and name-calling/mental health jokes.

cooley is a center that weighs 270 pounds.  Mickey is playing out of position

What's a Center? Is that some position the other 29 teams in the league have?  :)

I actually kind of like what RJ Hunter has done in the 2nd half. Much more active and alert

I agree..If you think about it, this is probably the first game he's played in the last three years where he doesn't constantly have the ball in his hand.  Like I said before...he's trying to figure out how he can contribute....Young = not so much

hes playing against mostly D league players. His shooting and inability to get separation at the rim has been terrible. Those two things cant be argued against.

Overall, the Cs offense seemed mediocre tonight.  Went through a few stretches where they went quite awhile without scoring.

I did like some things though.  RJ Hunter's had a night to forget on offense, but I've been very pleasantly surprised by his defense...active, stepping in passing lanes, poking balls away.

And Mickey with some ACTUAL rim protection.

Disappointing showing from James Young, and once again, this team showing no ability to rebound on a consistent basis.  And I can't knock the "system" cause this team was just as bad on the glass in the final couple years of the Doc era.

I kinda blame Young for this loss. Hood pwned him. Also we got out rebounded badly and fouled them a lot more.

KeepRondo =  the Debbie Downer of Marcus Smart comments ("observations")
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.
