Season - 20ppg scorers (on the Celtics)

1999-2000 - 20 (1)
2000-2001 - 25 (2)
2001-2002 - 21 (2)
2002-2003 - 25 (2)
2003-2004 - 17 (1)
2004-2005 - 21 (1)
2005-2006 - 24 (1)
2006-2007 - 20 (0)
2007-2008 - 27 (0)
2008-2009 - 20 (1)
2009-2010 - 16 (0)
2010-2011 - 19 (0)
2011-2012 - 12 (0)
2012-2013 - 09 (0)

And this is why I'd be impressed if Green could score 20 points per game. They're becoming a rare breed.

I like watching prolific scorers
Jeff Green - Top 5 SF

[Kevin Garnett]
"I've always said J. Green is going to be one of the best players to ever play this game"

Here is what seems really interesting about that to me:

Season - number of teams averaging >100ppg

1999-2000 - 7
2000-2001 - 4
2001-2002 - 4
2002-2003 - 4
2003-2004 - 2
2004-2005 - 6
2005-2006 - 5
2006-2007 - 9
2007-2008 - 13
2008-2009 - 13
2009-2010 - 18
2010-2011 - 11
2011-2012 - 3
2012-2013 - 11

(I would say that 11-12 can be disregarded due to the lockout).

Overall scoring is up, but fewer players are putting up high numbers regularly.
