If he signs with them, I bet he has a good year and we will regret not signing him.

After last year I will never again regret the Celtics choosing not to acquire a toxic headcase, irrespective of talent.

I don't know, Howard is definitely at a point in his career where he could change what he values and be less of a diva. I feel like players like Vince Carter and Jerry Stackhouse were long labeled as me first numbers guys that bounced from team to team. He seems really humbled by basically being on the fringe of the league. Like others have pointed out, on a minimum contract you can just cut him if he even looks at Stevens wrong or annoys Tatum once.

How many years in a row has he been toxic?  At minimum four, and arguably nine?

Guys like that don’t change.

I don't know, did he really do anything toxic in Washington this  year?  From what I read he was just hurt and wasn't really around the team very much. Charlotte was apparently happy to see him go, but that is a really dysfunctional franchise and it was not any better before or after his one year there. I think he is a really corny dude and has just been a generally annoying guy. However, he has gone from thinking about himself as an allstar to realizing he may not even be able to get a minimum contract in the NBA. It is definitely the kind of thing that can make someone tone it down.

Howard to the Lakers per Shams and Woj, after a buyout from Memphis.  Reportedly his deal is non-guaranteed with the Lakers.

Wow, LeBron, Davis, and Dwight?

That team would've won multiple titles starting in 2012 and after.

But still, that twin tower of Davis/Howard is going to be devastating.

Lebron, AD, Dwight, Rondo, Bradley, McGee. It's going to be an interesting season for this Lakers team for sure. What are the chances that 3 out of 6 of those guys are still healthy and/or on the roster by April?

“that twin tower of Davis/Howard is going to be devastating.”

If they’re not devastated by injuries.

“Lakers players were part of the decision.”

Hmmm, I wonder which Lakers players that could have been?

It will make Davis happy to play PF instead of C, and that makes LeBron the SF, so Kuzma gets what? 6th man? I’m sure he’ll love that when he’s back from playing for Team USA.

Yeah, after seeing this roster form, no wonder Amare Stoudemire and Monta Ellis want to return to the league.

This team would have been really nasty in 2012-2014, lol.

Now, not so much. No idea how well their bodies can hold up, nor how their locker-room will go

At least LeBron will have a source of roids if his dealer ever runs dry.

And if they run out of basketballs on the court they can just use Duhwight's shoulders instead, they are approximately regulation size  ;)

Please tell me that is a photo shop. PLEASE.

Kobe, happy birthday, it's Rob. I've got great news.

What? Is the masterplan to destroy the Lakers so that Kobe can swoop in and buy the team?

Whoever is running the Lakers is acting like the Redskins owner when he thought a collection of names was all it took to win. The guy has had the team for over twenty years now, and not one Super Bowl. I doubt he has even made a conference championship game.
