Kept another team under 100 (95) with great defense and shot 39% from 3.  Tough combination to beat.

great points. if we can keep teams under 100 and keep scoring 120, 130, 140 it will be a wild run

It’s nice to know the cavs do not have spo coaching them to make adjustments.

Cleveland actually started 5-8 from 3, then went 6-34 the rest of the game.

That was probably the only bad stretch from the C's, in the first where they let CLE go on a 21-9 run and gave up WIDE open shots with horrific defense. But that's it. Everything else was awesome and encouraging.

These aren't the same old Celtics, which is a good sign.

How many times in the last two postseasons did we see this team get off to slow/awful starts, look terrible defensively (especially 2023), and blow games in the 2nd half due to their own stupidity.

Well, today felt like a game they were gonna blow after not taking advantage early on, just like Game 1 against Philly last year. And guess what? They just put their foot on the throats of Cleveland in the 2nd half and blew them out. No mercy. Answered every run or momentum-moments from CLE. Mitchell going off? Doesn't matter, no panic and just keep playing our own game.

That's a very, very encouraging sign  ;D

This is a different roster and they look way more locked in than last season, from the coach all the way to the 15th man on the roster.

agreed. cautiously optimistic on that front. other than not showing up game 2 against teh cheat we have shown up every other game and blown opposing team out in EVERY WIN

Yeah, and even in that game the Heat shot 53% from 3 all game. We didn't play that well defensively but MIA also looked desperate and they had many guys playing out of their minds. But also, as long as we're only allowing that to happen maybe once per series, I'll take it. It might not matter at all in the East this year, maybe only the Finals? I'd be shocked if we had to go a full 7 in any East series.

Thought it would go 5 games but Mitchell may need to score 50+ for the Cavs to get a win.

Tatum hasn't had many "big games" this postseason but we haven't needed it. Still, I think he'll have some in the near future. Mitchell was great today and they still got blown out by 25+

Maybe someone has watched the Cavs more than me, but isn't Garland supposed to be a lot better than this? Felt like Brown and White just abused him. I'm sure he'll play better this series and maybe have a big game alongside Mitchell to take a game, but they're gonna need a lot more from him otherwise Brown can light it up even if JT is neutralized by the Cavs.
