If two deals for AD were available one centered around Brown and Horford the other around Tatum and Smart, which line up would you like more?

Obviously Tatum is significantly better than Brown and it's not even close.

It is not about preferred lineups.  It is about keeping Tatum over Brown primarily however Smart over Horford is also preferred considering Horford's age and much bigger contract.

I like the Kyrie/Brown/Hayward/Davis/Horford lineup because it is at least realistic. IMO there is no way the deal gets done without including Tatum(almost every credible reporting site is in agreement with this) and because IMO there is no way Horford allows himself to be traded to New Orleans.

Agree with the realism point, but in terms of pure preference it’s definitely the top one. Smart seems like a better fit next to Kyrie, Hayward is rounding into some really good form, and Tatum has special potential.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)

I choose the second option.

But can we swap Horford to PF and Davis to C?

This is true.  Also, at least in the short term, I think a Horford / Brown combo gives us a better title shot than Tatum / Smart.  Horford is vital to this team.

I picked Horford and Brown.
There seems to be a lot of people who have yet to understand the value of Al Horford to our team.

Tatum will develop, but right now, his def isn't very good.

I vote for Kyrie/Brown/Hayward/Davis/Horford because Smart and Tatum (among other pieces) would be going to NO for AD.

I would think that's what would likely happen if we got Davis.

Agree and disagree.

Disagree about Tatum not being very good. He's extremely good but he'd be the main piece going to N'Orleans

Agree about Horford. Good player, leader, veteran and someone who can help sell Boston to the Unibrow.

The choices in the poll are not thought out.

I could see either giving up Tatum, or Brown and Smart. Frankly don’t see how it gets done without giving up Tatum and one of Brown or Smart.

I think he meant defensively Tatum isn't very good. I think that is fair for how he has played defense as a whole this year, but Tatum proved in last year's playoffs that he can play very good defense.

Ya this is where I'm at,  I don't see how NOP does the deal without Tatum. They didn't wait an extra 6 months causing immeasurable turmoil to get a slightly better deal from the Celtics, they did it to get Tatum. I also like feel like on a team with Hayward at close to 100%, Kyrie and Davis Brown isn't really that much different in terms of what he could bring as a 4th  option to Tatum anyway. There are diminishing returns to an iso-heavy guy as your 4th option. I know people are really down on Brown, but it wouldn't shock me if he's nearly as good as Tatum long term in terms of long term two way value. And we've seen how good Horford is. Dream scenario is we find a way to do Tatum, all the picks, sign and trade Rozier and Keep smart, but salary issue may prevent this.
