Rozier, Williams, Bird plus Sac and Mem picks? Too much? Not enough?

a  healhty KP interests me more than AD at times cause he is phenominal amd would cost waaaaaaay less.

KP plus both brown and tatum and a couple of picks is better than davis without brown and tatum and all the picks

For maybe Smith Jr, DeAndre's expiring...what else? Maybe a pick? Is that really enough? Wild if true.

Not enough if the Knicks are smart, but I think it's close.  This deal would put New York in a spot where they would need to pay Rozier after the season.  I think I'd rather push the Celtics to match a high offer in restricted free agency, as opposed to trading for him now.  As for RWII, I think his success will be dictated largely by the player development staff that surrounds him.  This is where the Knicks need to be honest/realistic about their ability to development young talent.

I think the Knicks should push for Jaylen or an extra first round pick.

Stein says

Quote
The Knicks would receive Dennis Smith Jr. and the expiring contracts of DeAndre Jordan and Wes Matthews in the proposed trade, according to league sources

and

Quote
The Knicks would also receive future first-round draft compensation from the Mavericks and, by shedding the contracts of Hardaway and Lee, create the salary-cap space this summer to pursue two maximum contract free agents

So they ditch Hardaway who they sent away once then grossly overpaid to resign, plus Lee who they overpaid...hell of a thing to give away your only high-level young guy mostly to erase your own dumb signing decisions.

Want no part of Porzingis, he looks like he's 'too big'. Stay away, I felt the same way last time around when people were convinced we should trade the pick that became Tatum for him.

I hope for the young man's carreer and quality of life that I'm wrong but IMO Porzingis is the modern day Yao Ming. Dominant when healthy but you can never rely on him 100%. Wouldn't have wanted to trade for Yao back then and don't want to trade for KP now.

Good for Dallas. If Kristaps is healthy, that's a heck of a tandem they have with Luka.
