Didn't they say at the beginning of the playoffs "40 games in 40 nights".... not sure of the number, but something like that.  There is supposed to be at least one playoff game on every day.

Someome explain to me why they get so many days off and get extra practice time in and the Celts/Cavs game is tomorrow. I don't get it at all. They can't have 2 game 7s on the same night? Is that a rule?

I have been ranting and raving about this all week! How the C's/Cavs have played every other night even when changing cities ... and EVERY OTHER SERIES gets 2 full days off at least once, if not twice and the Hornets/Spurs get 3 full days off before game 7 I almost think there is some kind of conspiracy agains the "old" celtics team and this is an attempt to hurt us more than the Cavs!

That being said, I Don't know how the players feel about it ... i Know Doc said he liked playing every other night, but he's no the one playing. I know one extra day of rest sure couldn't hurt KG Ray And Paul

I don't know about the conspiracy theory but it sure is strange that this is the only series that does not get an extra day. Then again I think it could be because the 1st round went 7 games for the Celtics but this would have been the perfect time to give the Cavs and Cs an extra day not SA/NO

To answer y'all's question, the NBA tries hard to make sure that the Conference Finals games are going to start on the same day if possible (or one day apart).  Because Boston went seven games in the 1st round, and because the teams in the West went only 5, Boston is having to play catch up.

But if they played that game 7 yesterday, they could have played game 1 tomorrow or when they are going to start it anyways.

They scheduled it for Monday to coincide with the Lakers/Jazz game 7 (obviously, it wound up being unnesseccary).

If it has anything to do with the WNBA, it's really only a one-day push-back.
