As the playoffs proceed, teams have to raise their level of play.  As the games gain importance, so too must the referees raise their level.

Instead, we see the opposite.  Game 1 of Lakers and Nuggets was the worst reffed game of the playoffs thus far.  Just a complete assertion of over control such that one team is made to feel helpless.  The Lebron charge on Grant was a major point swing.  Around the same time was a phantom call on a Denver player against AD while guys were going for the rebound.

This was the first game in a while that reminded me of the awful fourth quarter hack job against the Celtics against the Lakers, and the fiasco with the Kings Lakers series years before.

Dear refs, do not blow the whistle based on a guess.  And know that you must be better as the games gain importance, which means your job is to recede from everyone's consciousness by calling the game in a restrained, impartial manner, not a manner that leads to accusations of agenda.  Is there an agenda?  If so, hide it better please.  Thank you.

Silver, fans are not dumb...and we will leave our TV sets if this continues....

I think the NBA wants the Lakers to win. Its a good story for them with Kobes death this year, Lebrons 4th ring etc.

Denver vs. Miami or Denver vs. Boston? Not as much pop
