NFLPA Head and HOFer Gene Upshaw passes away.

NFL Hall of Famer and NFL Players Association head Gene Upshaw died today of pancreatic cancer. Strangely he only found out about the diagnosis on Sunday.

RIP Mr. Upshaw.

I wonder how this might change the direction of the NFLPA especially with the CBA coming up and the end of the salary cap quickly approaching. Upshaw for years has been accused of not being good for the larger majority of players. Should make for a very interesting labor situation in the NFL.
