Will Kevin Durant leave GSW this summer? If so, which team?

Previous poll for Kawhi Leonard is here: https://forum.celticsstrong.com/index.php?topic=99662.0

Durant is a coward. He's not going to any situation where he is responsible for the team's success. I think he stays.

Stay.

My reasoning? I think Golden State gets eliminated in the 2nd round to Houston. It would look even weaker if the first season GSW doesn't make the Finals is when KD leaves. His legacy takes another hit, even if it's a bit unfair to KD. This way, KD and the Warriors (minus Draymond and possibly Klay too) would have something to play for next season (avenging Houston).

If they win it all though, I think he leaves for the Clippers. I vote he stays though.

Durant moved his company to New York City. Just about anyone in the media with very good NBA or GSW connection have said he is gone to NY. Word is he can't stand to be around Draymond any longer than the end of this season.

He is gone.

He is gone I believe. Could end up somewhere nobody expects as well.Yes, Knicks look like front runner but what if they cannot get a second to join him there, does he still go there? Would he allow GSW to do a sign and trade with another unmentioned team so they can get a valuable piece back or will he simply Thunder them?

Klay and Durant are both leaving the Warriors will trade Curry as well to save on luxury tax bills and let Draymond walk or trade him for young assets as well.

Eh, he did left the Thunder to join the enemy right?
so the premise that theyd all be back to avenge a loss...should it happen to Houston is not happening...heck it may even trigger the break up of the evil empire.

KD leaves and there is no reason really for him to stay. This is Steph's team and he does want to be paid this time as he already made 2 yrs straight sacrificing some money so this time, his motives are obvious...get the best contract he can get since he already has the rings.

He wants to be an NBA legend.  That cant happen the way he one his titles.

But if he wins in NY...he will get his wish.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

yup.....he panicked.....wanted to be sure he was getting a title .   So that came too easy , fast and with out the accolades he expected .  It was always  Steph s team , and klays too .  So , now he realizes ,  the short cut did not mean alot .....the respect is not there .    So, yeah im thinking too,  he wants to leave .

I imagine he wants to regain some self respect... so he's leaving.

Anybody catch the "y'all know I am Kevin Durant" interview with the media?

He came off like such a diva and have lost alot of respect for the guy who was my favorite non-Celtic player.

So conceited.

Anyway, I am guessing he goes to New York if that's what I keep reading and hearing.

Hopefully Kyrie doesn't join him (though I think there's a very good chance.)

It matters. More teams become dark horses or legitimate contenders if he leaves. Right now they’re the best team easily

It's actually funny because I feel like whatever he does, he's going to get scrutinized anyways.

But yeah I can see this.
