Wow! Amazing finish. Kyrie is a superstar. We need Hayward to come out of the witness protection program. Jason was fantastic. Morris Sr. was solid and we needed Horford who actually played Embid better than I have ever seen him.

You are right about Hayward....

The Gordon playing right now is Evan Turner wearing a mission impossible mask. :D
Evan Turner was a productive player. Hayward just isn’t right now.

Solid win. Philly is tough.  Gonna be interesting to see how both teams match up towards the end of the season when both teams have built more chemistry.

Are they just bored? Are they just waiting for the playoffs?

Because they make it hard on themselves...

I think it’s just inconsistency of youth and lack of confidence from the supporting cast. Hayward perked up when he got that alley pop lay in and his defense got better. Before that he was playing like a guy that knows he came into a winning team and took minutes away from others and is afraid to miss shots as a result. Sometimes he needs to be a bit selfish and take his shots, something Brown and Rozier have no issues with doing. For those two they just need to make shots and take better ones, some of the shot options they took in the 3rd left much to be desired.

But they hung around despite playing poorly at times and played some clutch D when it mattered. If it was a loser team they were playing I’d be more upset but Philly has been solid this year.

I was one of the guys who thought Kyrie was an all-star but a fringe superstar (not a bad thing, just I didn't think he was labeled a true superstar).

But I'll admit, I'm starting to change my mind about him a bit watching this season play out  :)

We knew he was a Top-4 PG in the league and somewhere in the Top-12 overall in the league, but he may be elevating his stock even more this season. Great to see!

I'd be happy to see him retire a Celtic. Not only because of his game either - he seems like a real class act.

Correct me if I'm wrong please :)

IMO Kyrie won't retire as a Celtic not just because of his own decision making but also because of Ainge.

I feel like Kyrie identifies himself as an individual and not part of an organisation and if he wins some titles here during his next contract then I think he will look to challenge himself elsewhere (won't be surprised if it was the Nets or Knicks).

Plus you have to understand that we have Ainge as our GM and I'd say he is the least sentimental GM in the league and if he thinks this team or Kyrie is past its use, he will trade anyone to keep winning and if I know that...Kyrie does too.

The Celtics defense was outstanding in the 4Q after giving up 38 in the 3Q. Anyone complaining about Al should watch games like this a bit more carefully.

Amen. Did not score (shot poorly, in fact) but without him this is an L.

Horford great as usual especially in the final 15 minutes of the game (OT included), but you saw how valuable Baynes would have been out there off the bench. I feel he's the one guy we have who can actually body up Embiid and push him back if needed (not to sound like I'm trashing Horford), and that showed in the playoffs last year. When Horford was on the bench, Theis came in and predictable got cooked by Embiid, although Theis did hit some big shots and crucial moments to help us as well.

It’s more obvious than ever GS doesn’t care about the regular season this year.

They’re also more flawed than ever before. No depth (Iggy and Livingston are shot), and instead of the typical defensive stalwarts they’ve had at C (like Bogut) they have Boogie, who I simply do not see adapting to getting very little touches. Their chemistry issues are also very much there

Which is his greatest attribute...he does not let his poor shooting affect the rest of his game.

Tale of two players struggling with their offense but having different impacts on the game - Hayward 2 - 6 for 5 pts but a +9 while Brown was 2 - 7 with a -14. Both shooting abominably but Brown needs to find ways to positively impact the team when he isn’t shooting well.

I didn’t join in the thread during the game, but I was able to watch.  What a game.  Kyrie unstoppable when it counted.  Great win!!!

I guess, but I think Hayward was more the beneficiary of Kyrie going supernova than anything else. I honestly thought Jaylen had a couple of great drives where he passed the ball at just the right time for an easy basket for a teammate. By Brown's comments (something about being happy to at least be in the rotation of a winning Cs team), I think it is going to be a longer road back to where he previously was than I think we all were hoping.

I get that Jaylen should be better than Hayward because of the injury, but Hayward looks like maybe the least electric player in the league right now. The dude needs to make his presence better known. Brown has at least been able to do that on the defensive end at times.

I agree that both need to vastly improve for the Cs to have a realistic shot at the championship, but I really liked the energy in this game against a very good, healthy Philly team. Even though the 3 ball wasn't falling, the points off of turnovers were killer.
