Boston Receives:

Center-PF    : Amare Stoudemire
Point Guard  : Steve Nash
Small Forward: Grant Hill

Phoenix Receives:

Power Forward : Kevin Garnett
Point Guard   : Rajon Rondo
Small Forward : J.R. Giddens

I believe we would still have a outside chance of winning it still with this line-up. While also creating MEGA-Salary cap relief in 2010 with Ray, Amare & Nash coming off the books in 2010.

Mega salary cap relief to get no one.  a lineup of Pierce and garbage isnt going to attract FA's.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
Starting five:

Steve Nash
Ray Allen
Paul Pierce
Amare Stoudemire
Kendrick Perkins

with Grant Hill as the sixth man, pretty [dang] good rotation, but not as good as what we have now. Nash has only a few years left, and isn't really that much better than Rondo. Stoudemire vs. KG is where there is a huge dropoff, Amare plays no defense and has no toughness compared to KG.

Three players with huge contracts coming off the books in 2010. We could make a run at Lebron.

Still, I'm not willing to take the risk. I like the team the way it is.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

You know. When I first looked at this I started laughing, however the more I think about it, the more I think that actually wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. We would get a young big in Amare that is no question more offensive, but less defensive. We would get an all-star PG for a soon to be all-star pg who has some serious offensive deficiencies. We would get a SF that could come off the bench and play well in stretches for a guy who may never see the court here.

A lineup of :

Nash/House/Pruitt
Ray/TA/House
PP/Hill/Walker
Amare/Powe/Scal
Perk/BBD/POB

That might work...

How about this adjustment though that works as well in the trade machine:

Phoenix gets KG, Rondo, TA
Boston gets Amare, Nash, Hill, and Matt Barnes.

Insert Barnes for TA in the lineup above. We could even sweeten it by throwing BBD in there as well and it works in the trade machine.

If that is the only reason you might want to re-think it because no way on EARTH Lebron is coming to Boston. Not going to happen in a million years.

How so? Boston vs LA, Kobe vs Lebron. He would love the spotlight.

He can get the spotlight lots of places. No offense to those living in MA, but it isn't exactly the nicest place to live in the world temperature wise. I know he is in Cleveland that isn't great  either, but he was drafted there. If he goes ANYWHERE it either has to be somewhere with star power like LA or NY, or somewhere with nice weather like MIAMI or Phoenix etc. Boston doesn't fit any of those things. Don't you think that he has also developed a little animosity towards Boston being rivals and all as well. Very tough for him to overcome that. Individually all these things aren't that big a deal, but together I don't see any chance of him coming here. Name me one HUGE star that has recently.

you cant deny that line-up though! We would score 125 a game easily I believe. 4 great scorers & a point guard they cannot sag off of. Defense is left to be desired but we would out-run everybody.

That's exactly what they've been thinking in Phoenix for the past 5 years.

An outside chance of winning what? Our division?

There goes our defence...
It's an old cliche but it's true, defence wins championships.
Anything is possible!!!

This is your backup trade? ::)

How about proposing something that doesn't break up the starting five?
