Very nice flow to this draft. I hope all rounds go like this.

In this draft I was almost sure Magic and Oscar were early picks.

The versatility alone is huge as you don't have to worry about position in the second round and can just pick the BPA.

Exactly. IMO, Oscar and Magic were easily the two most versatile players in history, without question.

Can I ask what was the deciding factor between Kobe and Oscar?  Was it playoff success?

I would like to hear this as well.

The championship argument is a very good one and there is no denying Kobe's talent but Big O almost never had big time talent around him and was perhaps one of the top 2 every tool player of all time.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
There is one guy missing that I think ought to have been picked, ahead of Kobe for sure, and maybe even Hakeem.

I wonder though if the reason he wasn't picked was because it is about getting a phenom for one season, instead of getting one of the top 2 or 3 'franchise cornerstones' ever.

I know who this person is and I would never choose him over Hakeem.

Thank you to whatever mod deleted that.

Let me reiterate.

YOU CAN NOT DISCUSS PLAYERS THAT HAVE YET TO BE PICKED DIRECTLY and even hinting at it please be as vague as possible.

Alright the almighty Boston Celtics are going to select a guy that will look great in green. He has been 1st or 2nd team all NBA and 1st or 2nd team all defense since he arrived in 1997. Please welcome.....pick number #11 of round 1....

My bad, didn't think it was a rhetorical question.
