Title: O's have deal in place for Machado

Apparently main framework is set, just finalizing the particulars (medicals and what not), but no mention of the team acquiring him.

I heard it's the Dodgers. He will play in the All Star game tonight as an Oriole, and the trade should be finalized soon after.

USA Today is reporting it is the Dodgers.  Though later in the article they say the Brewers and Phillies are still in the mix.  So who knows.

I think it is dodgers too now. I think there was some fake smoke or last minute posturing

Really doesn’t make sense to overpay for another rightie bat. If they want him in the offseason. They should get him then. orioles will ask for more from them (and then the Sox) than any other team.

If Yanks were to push some more chips into the pot (I’m not convinced they will go all-in this season and jeopardize resetting the tax or giving up multiple blue-chippers), they should go after deGrom. I think he would make them the clear-cut favorite this year and set them up for Harper in the winter.

I’d be less surprised if Harper AND Machado are both in pinstripes next season than neither. It’s just a matter of whether they add another stud to pair with Severino.

I’m expecting a great pennant race between Yanks, Sox, and ‘Stros.

Not familiar with too many NL prospects, did they get most of their best?
