i can almost guarantee there will be a better player from this draft than Smart.  drafting him would be the hard part.

also, saw someone saying atlanta hayward deal might include reddish coming back to boston.

Can't say I'm a huge Reddish fan, but he's young, athletic and long. He also seemed to really click in the last two months of play. Averaged 16/4/1 over Feb-March shooting well.

This article says C's targeting Wiseman in getting a top 3 pick. Offered Marcus for #2. Rejected GS's counteroffer.

but he is a dukie.   maybe a friend of tatums?  plus they'd need another one with hayward and semi gone.

The Ainge and Stevens era have built a perennial contender that has been to 3 of the past 4 ECF with the cornerstones of the team being under the age of 25 and there are still complaints about wanting a splash.

I, for one, appreciate the anti-Dombrowski approach. Selling out for a Championship for the team to slog through years of losing and salary cap issues is idiocy. The chemistry will continue to improve, the young players will hit their primes, and the team will be in contention for the next 5 years.

This team is ahead of schedule and there will be a trade to execute in the next 1-2 years to get the C’s over the hump and Smart for Wiseman (though tempting) is not it. The only acquisitions that should be considered are the finishing touches for a Championship team ala Bogut and Igoudala for GSW. Until then, the prospects will gain more value and Kemba will be given 1 more season at the helm to prove he can lead this team to the promised land, if he can’t, he’ll be traded for what will be the final piece.

Idk how old this is

The Celtics and Warriors took part in exploratory talks that would have sent Boston guard Marcus Smart to Golden State in exchange for the No. 2 pick in Wednesday's draft, according to the Action Network's Matt Moore.

According to the Action Network, the discussions are not expected to continue as the event nears this evening. However, the New York Times' Marc Stein reported Wednesday morning that the Celtics were searching for possible trade pathways to acquire a top three pick in Wednesday's draft.

I am confident that GSW asked for smart.

I am confident that danny told them to kick sand.
